Constantly changing hours and closing early along with being overcrowded and understaffed. It's very difficult to cash a check sometimes they put unnecessary long holds on my money when I do transfers. I had to cancel a trip to the mainland because they wouldn't clear my check for 2 weeks. They're closed now on Saturday and close early on Friday islandwide. Zero stars if it was possible

Worst lines. Takes months to get a debit card replaced. Speaking for my boyfriend's experience with his debit card. They say two weeks but it was more like 3 months. He called every week and had to wait 45 minutes or longer to get on the phone with someone. We went in the bank about it a handful of times. I have an account there and hfs because checks take a week or so to go through at first hawaiian. There's a 300.00 hold on a saving account which I think don't understand why. first Hawaiian it's just the lowest most inconvenient bank there is

It's all true- lines out the door with one teller, try to call them and be prepared to wait 20-25 minutes only to get cut off and start again. No way to leave a voicemail or an email.My poor 15 yr old grandson tried to cash his second pay check (drawn on 1st Hawaiian). He has a birth certificate, Social Security card, and school ID. They did cash it the first time but after we stood in line for half hour today they told us they were unable to cash it this time because " the employee who cashed it before made a mistake and she is no longer with the bank" WTF?

Had to publicize the very poor service I am Experiencing with FIRST HAWAIIAN BANK. Came here because the phone hold is 30 to 40 mins. I have tried to settle my problem 3 different times on their VERY POOR CUSTOMER CARE #.Paid off my car loan in November and still have Not Received car title. They keep saying they will mail it", it has been mailed", noone is in titles today", or I'm so sorry". I need to change my registration name with DMV and now it is late! As of Jan. 6...Nothing! This is Ridiculous. In case your looking for a bank....DON'T USE FIRST HAWAIIAN BANK. Worse follow through!!!! While on auto deduction payments, they manage to mess that up 2xs also!!!!! Blaming their computer system. Nothing but problems!! Paid off loan 2 years early to Not have deal with them and now this....they can not send me the title.This is unacceptable.Lowest lowest grade to FIRST HAWAIIAN BANK.They prove to you, they DON'T CARE.FAIL.Island of Oahu.

Worst customer service ever. So slow and so rude. They hire the most uneducated people they can find. It take at least 20 minutes per customer at the teller. Someone need to do something about this. They are handling people money with no regards to people at all.

Zero stars if It was possible…. Long lines that take 40mins to an hour and a half. Impossible to get ahold of anyone over the phone unless you want to wait an hour and a half right when they open, and to top it off they’ll take your call and put you on hold for another 20mins and if you don’t respond in 2 seconds when they are ready they’ll hang up on you and you get to repeat the process all over again.

ALWAYS have Long lines. No drive through. Banking online is not as versatile as most other banks.

Bank opens at 8.30a.m. I went in the line 8.15 am and was 6th person in the line. When the bank opened 4 tellers were available. It took me 15 minutes to get to the teller. I noticed that tellers can not do any transactions without manager's approval and this gets the line stretched out longer and longer. I deposited my paychecks, which was less than 3K and the teller had to get manager's approval! Checks were from their own bank. I understand that if I asked cash back then manager would have to approve it. It is crazy! Not a tellers fault. She said that she has $ amount limit she can transact. When I turned around to leave the line was way out of the door! I have banked there 20 years and it is really bad times there right now. Debating if I should change banks.

The wait time here at this branch is always super slow. Please hire more employees who are actually helping at the service desks. 2-3 persons is simply not enough.

FHB in general the lines go the door. If you sign in for service anticipate waiting 2 or more hours to see the one person providing account services. They have comically low cut offs for transfers. The outgoing message for phone service says waits will be longer than usual this is a lie as the waits are always long. Currently at 10am this line is 5 people out the door.

most of the tellers here are so sweet, but i’ve never banked somewhere that the line is constantly out the door. if my landlord didn’t make me pay rent here, i would have changed banks a long time ago

They are slower then molasses, I think it's time to change banks. 3 to 4 tellers in one window. After a 3 day close the line is out the door and only 2 to 3 Windows open. After 20 min they finally open a 4th window. Now there have 2 tellers at each window looks like everyone is training. So it turns out New system with a lot of bugs. They don't seem to care if anyone has a hard time standing, no help for hadicap 47 min in line no one ask. The teller doesn't know how to process a payment. 63 min later I'm finally done. This was crazy the line is still out the door.

I’m a customer at this branch. Went in to get a simple notary and was told to come back in 12 days as that was the next available appointment. Bear in mind there were 5 customer service bankers sitting at their desks, none of whom appeared to be with a customer or on the phone. This is truly terrible service.

Worse lines in the world! And the tellers are doing their best they just don't have enough help! There's more people sitting at desks then coming to help the line of everyday customers!!!!
