This was our first time back after the pandemic. They are no longer located in the warehouse-like area and no longer have the cool co-op-like vibe. It is now like a stripped down Sprouts market with a fraction of the inventory, no kombucha on tap, and a very mediocre experience. It wouldn't have been such a bummer if I didn't love the previous place so much.

Great grab and go veg options! Friendly staff. Prices a bit high, but it's Hawaii.

Really nice natural grocery store. Love this place. The smoothies are so delicious. The deli section has some really yummy stuff too. They have such a great selection from fresh produce to packaged goods, baked goods, hot food, fresh fruit drinks, supplements, personal care products etc.

Ever since they moved locations this store has gone downhill. They have issues with pricing because their system cant recognize items which causes you the be regularly overcharged for items. In my last trip I had multiple items that they attempted to overcharge me on. Also, they no longer offer a restroom for their shoppers, and I waited 20 min for the employees to make a smoothie which never came and not a single employee at the smoothie counter even recognized my presence. I will not be shopping here again.

I recently had leg surgery and need to have hip surgery this week. Marnie helped me so much when I came in the store on a walker on Oct 6. I purchased a few things however the Arnica oil she recommended is just terrific. Have been in serious pain for 6 weeks and I used the oil today on several areas of my body and I'm thrilled to tell you I have no pain now. Mahalo plenty Marnie and Island Naturals. Marnie was so sweet and helpful during my shopping experience there. She even helped me with check-out assistance and to get to my car. You are the best Marnie. You helped so much to make me feel emotionally and physically better for sure.Cheryl

I have been a customer at Island Naturals for over 13 years and not once even if something was bad in all this time have I returned it. Today I returned an unused tea strainer that I felt was not what I needed. I retuned it unused, in the original package and with the receipt. The manager or person who could do my return was very rude about the return. I couldn't believe it, like what does she care if I'm returning something that was not going to work for me. She certainly has no managerial manners and has now lost a very good customer as we spend on an average 800 -1000 monthly at the store.

I was able to get fresh fruits and a couple of vegan protein powders which is a must for me! I am glad they have this store in Kona.

Great place excellent alternative food. A bit more expensive than you would pay at a normal sore but frankly not much more than shopping at Safeway if at all. Beware the vegan and vegetarian food it has more salt and sugar than normal food does! But that is not a function of Island Naturals. Just my advice to be wary of.

It has a good selection of organic high quality staple items and specialty items but the prices for many items are high. Even for Hawaii. Preponderance of white people with prana clothes. That being said, the $18 jar of non-msg kimchi I bought ( I misread price, bit of a shock ltr) was delicious. So... If you wear obscenely expensive active wear combined with artisan handmade hippie accessories and are white ( dreadlocks r a bonus) this place was made for you. I know that is mean but hey, I judge. Don't be like me either: shop smart and don't buy imported things w short shelf life ( ie: me buying small batch non msg kimchi) like I did.

Nice spacious store. Prices are pretty normal for healthy living in Hawaii. I got great customer service with Aloha. Found some great local products too, which is great. ?

Despite the expensive prices, their products are expired. Camembert had red and yellow mold on it, and the expiration date on their provolone (purchased on May 24) was May 9.

We love this store so much! Stopped several times for a variety of things and they are very Vegan and GF friendly. The Kona location was a bit better but loved the deli selection on the Hilo side. You can also refill your water there for free for tap or $2 a gallon for alkaline. They have yummy options for non Vegans as well.
