Island Sun Coffee is a family‑owned Kona Coffee Farm in Kailua‑Kona. It grows only shade‑grown coffee in Hawaii and sells affordable 100% Kona coffee and KCups. The farm offers free tours, coffee and chocolate tastings, picnic tables, and an ADA‑accessible event space. Visitors say the owner is very friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate. Tour guides explain the coffee history, establishment of the farm, harvesting, grading, and other interesting faucets. Guests enjoy a relaxed, less crowded setting where they can see the trees and learn about the process. The small shop sells coffee and chocolate, and many bring home bags of delicious coffee. Customers call it an awesome, best place, a favorite coffee spot, and highly recommend it. A private group tour lasts about an hour and includes great gifts on site.
The owner Al is the sweetest man!! My husband and I had a 1:1 tour of the farm with him. He was so knowledgeable and passionate about what he does. Al is fantastic! Very knowledgeable, innovative, and has the true farming instinct. We so enjoyed talking with him and learning all about his farm. He joyfully shared his knowledge and love of coffee farming and more!

Very nice gentleman gave us a tour even though we did not schedule ahead of time. The medium roast we tried was excellent! I bought 1 medium 1 Full City and 1 Peaberry plus chocolate covered Peaberry. Stop in and buy some!
