I'm a big gift shopper and I always find something at Sunset Traders. They added a whole selection of beautiful made in Hawaii jewelry, like shell and gemstone jewelry by BeachGoddessShells and Manta Ray jewelry by designer Ted Daley, so cool! I get my dad Kona shirts and Hawaii shirts there and they have beautiful stickers. Check it out when you are in Kona there is a free parking lot right behind it. The ladies are so nice and they always help me find my sizes and paw through all of the cute jewelry.

Rude and obnoxious lady “greeting” customers. She told us multiple times her instructions on how to pick up t-shirts. Avoid!

Great shirt selection, most of the shirts actually say Kona. Nice quality shirts, not junk.

Unfortunately 1 star is too many. I agree with every review that speaks to the lady that either works or owns this store. She is incredibly rude, barking out her demands about not touching the shirts without her assistance over and over and over. Make it stop!!! It’s called browsing and people want to touch and handle things before they buy, it’s part of the experience. This lady should not own a business where interaction with people is part of the job. I live here and I’m embarrassed by her behavior towards other locals, tourists and people in general, there is not one ounce of aloha when you enter her store. Move on lady and get another job or sell your business to someone who knows what retail is all about and bring back the aloha feel. Very sad.

This place usually has great stuff and friendly staff, but the woman working there announced five times while we were there that she would help us with shirts. It took me that long to realize that she was directing her comments at me because I was picking up shirts occasionnaly to see the design and feel the fabric, before refolding them and putting them back as neatly as I had found them. I had no idea I was doing something "wrong." When she wasn't implying that we should not touch the shirts, she was muttering under her breath, saying repeatedly how annoyed she was. We left without purchasing anything. We walked by a few hours later and heard her berating other customers.I've worked in retail and understand that it can be very challenging dealing with people all day long. However, her behavior was completely uncalled for and somewhat concerning.

Jarringly unwelcoming vibe compared to the rest of the stores on this street. I watched the woman who works at and possibly owns the store (see every other negative review) berate an elderly man examining a hat in front of her shirt display because she thought he may have touched a shirt? Made me want to leave immediately. No alohas here.

Was drawn into the shop by their great choice of music! Enjoyed shopping around while listening to the Beatles. Fran was so friendly and helpful. Great shopping experience and I love the hat I bought.

I was out to breakfast with some friends and afterwards, decided to browse in some shops. Along Ali'i drive, we came across this cute t-shirt store and decided to stop in. (now, to be honest, I have lived here for over 9 years and for some reason, never stopped in here - that's going to change!) So, we all went in. We were greeted by the sales person (Fran) and felt instantly welcomed! While we looked around at the shirts - really fun ones! - we found quite a few things to buy - some shirts and a hat. Truly enjoyed stopping in there - great staff and fantastic music playing!

Very unfriendly and latently aggressive saleswoman. Actually nice shirts, but you can get them elsewhere!

The woman who works there is obnoxious! This store has a great selection of merchandise but she won’t let you touch it or look for yourself . She insists that you wait for her to help you - which is an issue , as she is the only one there , and if there are others waiting to “ look “, you are just waiting around in her hot little shop . No thank you! She has definitely lost at least 3 more sales from us . No telling how many people she is turning away because of her rudeness.

The lady working decided to go off about our governor after asking where we were from. Her uninformed rambling made it clear she had no idea the real issues faced, and I would gladly make purchases from any other store, not this one. Spend your hard earned money elsewhere!

The lady really doesn't like it if you unfold shirts on the shelves ?

Came in because we liked some of the shirts in the window. Left because the woman working there was incredibly rude. We walked in and picked up 1 t-shirt to look at it and she was like "You look at the shirts on the wall and I will come over and help you." Ok fine, we folded the t-shirt and put it back and didn't touch any more. Then we asked why most of the t-shirts had the designs on the back (we were looking for one on the front) and asked if they had any on the front, and the woman working there told my very clearly adult husband that "that's what adults like. Only kids and women like designs on the front". So rude. Just go around the corner to the many other t-shirt shops where they treat you with respect. No Aloha here.

Nice place with great selections lured us in but the mean Lady behind the register got us out. Very rude. We took our business down the street. The lady was very rude. I seen many others leave the store as well because of her.
