Thanks to people on Nextdoor's recommendations I ended up going with Kristine at The Cutting Zone. She was great, very patient and knowledgeable about my difficult hair type (super straight, fine, and thin). She took her time and we got rid of about 6 inches and it feels great. I am also LAZY about hair so I needed someone who understood that when choosing a cut. Kristine was also just a fun person to sit with for an hour. All around good experience. Thank you!!!

I have been going to cutting zone for over 20 years. Dianna is my hair dresser, but in a pinch I could see anyone there as they work so well as a team. They are very professional, and I don't wait at all for my appointment.

Called yesterday evening and Kristine was willing to stay late to give me a major hair transformation. The salon was clean and comfortable, and Kristine was so fun, so skilled, did an AMAZING job with my huge mop of hair. Both my daughter and I were very impressed by her ability to carry on a fun conversation while skillfully performing magic w/ her shears. It was amazing, and I HIGHLY recommend her and the Cutting Zone. A+

Moved back 2 months ago and came back to this salon. Etsuko cut and colored my hair. Cutting Zone is open on Sundays, so it worked perfect for me. Diane also works on Sundays, so there are options. Very happy with the results!

Super friendly customer service. It was easy to call in an appointment and online scheduling is also an option. The space is nice and bright. Smells nice and super chill vibe. There is a waiting area for coffee, tea or water. Also, a place to take a selfie on their selfie wall. Pricing is competitive. Shai was super nice and welcoming. My son likes his haircut and enjoyed his "chairapy". He said he will definitely come back here. We have recently moved to Kailua and was looking for our local hair salon for our family and we have found it! Looking forward to future cuts, coloring and chairapy at The Cutting Zone! FYI -- no private parking for salon but street parking and lot parking are accessible. Just make sure you have some change. Cheaper to park in the lots vs street.

Making your appointment with Chip will be one of the best decisions you can make this year. He is truly a dedicated smart, hairdresser, a expert and knows and understands hair dressing and hair styling. You have to admire his patience and tenacity to do a good job. He is always detailed and exceeds expectations to ensure that the order was completed on time. He is very communicative with active listening skills and most all of knows the buttons to push that would bring a dream to reality. I would highly recommend Chip without hesitation to anyone that wants peace of mind, fast service because that is great service after all. In my opinion Chip is the best hairstylist at cutting zone hands down.
