If you are old enough to remember when there was a friendly guy in your local hardware store; who knew where what you were looking for was but, also a bit of how to do it!It’s like that when I go to Hardware Hawaii --there is some person that is knowledgeable and available.It’s like a time warp!

This is a unique hardware store relative to the big box stores in town that have cut back on staffing. There's plenty of staff in the aisles, and I've always found them to be helpful in finding items or discussing home improvement projects & challenges.

cashier Maddie was disrespectful and rude to my husband and me. will not be returning here just based on her sheer lack of common curtesy. I would think twice about employing someone like her... not good for business.

Dumb decision to remove both of their bike racks. They said there was a bicycle theft problem. Well, where am I supposed to park my bike that's any safer? Dumb, dumb, dumb. For sure I'll stop at Home Depot more when I'm in town, because my Kailua neighborhood hardware store does not want me to come on my bicycle any more.

At Kailua location..Hard working employee to make a better day and they are always willing to help.They have the best music while shopping there.Their inventory covers for a lot of projects.Parking is available always.

Ace doesn’t always have what I need but the people working there from the floor to the register are always very helpful. Grateful for Avis’ help today as Ace didn’t have the wire I needed but she helped me look across the store and then gave other suggestions.

If only every business could have the customer service of Hardware Hawaii. Every.Single.Worker was so helpful. I kind of just want to come and hang out with the workers. If any workers read this, you guys wanna get lunch sometime? I'm serious.

The customer service is wonderful. All the employees were incredibly helpful and selection of hardware left many choices. I recommend you use this local Kailua store. Support this company because you will get more help than City Mill or Home Depot.
