This Safeway pharmacy, is one that has been great for me, with pharmacists that's intellectual such as Valerie an oriental young woman, who does go out of her way to make things easier for me and gives me some vital information about my prescriptions, oh... can't forget Jeanette, as she too is another pharmacist of intellect! My appreciation to the FINE and EXCELLENT services, will continue this at a later time..

This review is for Anuhea in the online delivery department. It looks like some things can be out of stock though while ordering on the site it shows available. This is heartbreaking if you really need that item, whether it's for a dietary restriction for a child or an ingredient you are cooking with. Anuhea recognized th importance of needing something you ordered and went out of her way to problem solve and make sure the customer got something with the right ingredients. Thank you for your excellent customer service!

This review is for Safeway Kailua. I was treated very badly by the store manager, Chol. The employees are great but I have a major problem with him. I went there with my service dog, Awesome & my service dog in training, Epic. Epic's training had to be put on hold due to me having a heart attack. Well, Epic dug a bunch of rubbish from under a shelf & I stopped her. Just then, Chol came by and he saw the pile of rubbish. He started telling me, in a very loud voice, that I had to leave because he couldn't have my dog making a mess in His store. Customers were all looking at me and I felt really embarrassed but I asked if I could pay for my items then leave. He said no, I had to leave now! I then realized that he thought the rubbish was p*** from my dog. I immediately called him back by saying in a voice as loud as his, "manager, come back here now!" He turned around to face me and I said, "I bet you think my dog pooped, well get over here and look at this, it's NOT P**** but it is the rubbish that was under the shelf! My dog actually is helping YOU keep your store clean!" He then turned and started to walk away cause he knew he screwed up! I asked in the same loud voice, "are you STILL kicking us out?" Customers were all gathering around watching by now. He tried walking away but I wouldn't let him go until he said I could stay and finish my shopping. Because if this, I try not to shop there anymore. He made me really embarrassed and upset. I had a few of the employees tell me to report him while others said he's usually really nice. I believe in giving people the benefit of the doubt so I didn't pursue it but if this happens again, I will report him. He didn't even apologize to me. I think he should. I've been a customer there for over 30 years and have had Awesome for 11 years and Epic for 2. Hopefully, I will be able to start training her soon. This Safeway has the best employees, except for the store manager.

If I didn't have to give a star I would not. This store has by far the worst customer service ever. The cashiers are rude, I think only a couple people are very welcoming. Your workers need to attend customer service training. I'd be happy to train your employees how to give good service. This is a let down, especially when you have a older dynamic of customers, older customers love to feel welcomed. Hire me to do your customer service for Safeway in the states, I don't think your current trainer is doing such a great job, trust it will increase more sales and visit.

Located in Kailua, right next to target, there are plenty of parking and other stores nearby. The building looks a little old and the layout is similar to the other Safeways. It isn't too busy on the weekends, with no lines at the cashiers or self check out.

Just started to use Safeway Kailua pharmacy recently. I have been very impressed by Kamalia, a pharmacist technician. She is very patient, personable and knowledgeable. Certainly an asset to their organization. In fact, they could benefit buy utilizing her for customer service training.

The Bakery at Safeway Hamakua is excellent. They filled an order for 2 dozen cupcakes for our son's birthday party. I asked for the cupcakes with green frosting, mentioning off hand the Minecraft theme for the party. When I picked up the cupcakes, I was pleasantly surprised to see they created the exact shade of green and frosted the edges delicately in black, which matched the theme perfectly. The cupcakes were moist and delicious. Not to mention the excellent value for the price! The Bakery exceeded my expectations, and I will be placing future orders with Safeway Hamakua.

Mahalo to employee , Ian! I wanted the 12ft. Santa Claus. Unfortunately, the only one available was the display model. Ian took down my information, contacted the manager, Byron, who agreed to take down the display for me to purchase.

Definitely my best visit to date. Kama - one of their store managers was super helpful and kind. Helped fix up my Drive Up & Go order. Most of the items I had wanted was in stock so I'm happy. Not all of the items were available but I understand that it's because supply chains are really having a difficult time with the effects of rising costs, staff shortage and delayed long commutes from mainland. My only disappointment was the Drive Up & Go persons that took my order didn't tie up my bagels- like I found the ties at the bottom of the bags and it was quite visible that my bagel bags were left opened. Nonetheless Kama was super helpful, kind and made the visit so easygoing. Thank you Safeway.

Ordered DoorDash from Safeway. First thing, I'm not sure if this is Safeway's or the dashers fault but I ordered a specific item and gave them three different replacements to choose from if the item wasn't there. They chose the only replacement I didn't choose because I can't eat it and they didn't even bother to tell me they were replacing it. My other dasher from a while back told me she was replacing something and made sure it was okay. Now this is Safeway's fault. The item I got that I didn't even want to begin with was expired! Luckily I don't eat this so I'm going to try and return it. It was not just a couple days expired but two months! In the image I posted I circled today's date on the receipt and the date of the product. I will update you guys if they do not take my return as I couldn't find anything online about returning things from DoorDash. DoorDash did not even give me my full credit back for the items so I'm trying to at least get full credit from Safeway especially because it's expired.

This is my go-to pharmacy and I always have a great experience, everyone that works here is so nice! Yes you do have to wait in line for awhile sometimes but that's how it is at most pharmacies.

Did the self checkout. I was having issues. Worker came and fixed the problem, didn't say a word, had a disgusted look on her face. Didn't say goodbye. Very disappointed with Safeway. I was there at 948am. Was there for $5 Friday.

Every week my receipt has to be corrected. They post sales that are attainable in several different exclusive ways that it is very difficult to get the right sale prices even when it is rung in correctly.

Oahu Kailua Safeway rather feed farm pigs expiring meat before giving a discount to local residents in struggling times. I am not sure if pigs are even suppossed to be fed meat or the consequences of it but one thing is for certain the expiring meat from Safeway is going to local pig farms. It's just sad to see how business rather throw away their produce than giving a discount to people in need. No matter how local this place would try to claim it is there is nothing local when it comes to taking care of the community. Another example is this location at one point used to rather place expiring products at 50% off but now they only go to 30% which is good if it has a few days but for last day it's ridiculous. However they either getting a deal from the local pig farmers or they just rather let local people starve than giving a discount. In other words they rather feed the pigs than humans in need.
