We have been a customer for over 30 years. When I call any of the bank branches I get a recording that our wait time is anywhere from 30 minutes to 45 minutes. That is totally unacceptable!! No customer service at all. We are contemplating moving all of our accounts to a bank with CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!

Today I had the absolutely worse customer service experience. 3 weeks ago I had random charges pending so I get a call from BOH. The caller told me he is going to issue and send out a new bank card to me. I decided to call and check on the status of my debit card. The caller asked if I authorized a purchase. I said no. Caller then says your account has been compromised. I asked what about my debit card. Caller says you need to go to the bank and close this account and make a new one. Calllers laughs. Then proceeds with is there anything else I can you with? Seriously why couldn't the caller 3 weeks ago tell me go in to the bank and make a new account. I hadn't have a debit car for 3 weeks. What the hell?! Who knows how long this is going to take to fix. Err!! So frustrating .

I was trying to do my coworker a favor by depositing his check, but the bank hours are horrible! Most people get off work around 330-5 on fridays, but they close at 4? I missed it on Friday so I came back on Saturday 9am and it's kapuna hour? This place is a joke

Bank of Hawaii has gone to crap, since the beginning of the pandemic. First, closing numerous locations, then reducing business hours. In the last year and a half, I have gone from extremely satisfied, to looking for a new bank. I wish I could pinpoint one specific area, in which to complain about, but the entire process of going into any location just sucks. The lines are always slow and disorganized, tellers are unhappy and work at a snail's pace, and the assistant manager is proud to tell customers to feel free to complain about her. Even if I wanted to call them to complain, their customer service call center is even worse. Not only do you have to wait on hold, for what feels like forever, they'll transfer you to several different people and still manage to mess things up; so you end up having to into a branch, anyway. I currently have two business accounts with BOH, and if it weren't such a hassle to change things to another bank, I would have already done it. I'm in the process of starting another business, and I will definitely not be using BOH for anything. I STRONGLY URGE YOU TO GO ELSEWHERE

Bank of Hawaii phone system needs a lot of work. I have been holding on waiting for help for one hour and 16 minutes. Not the first time. They really need to hire people tellers.

Horrible service. They won’t take 3 minutes to notarize a document they make you make an appointment for 4 days from now. How does that help? It’s sad that the notary is there but they refuse to provide the service. They just waste your time. Look at all the bad reviews! Do something about these issues already.

Had an issue with an account, was told to open a new account, and get this ----> THEY SAID THEY DON'T HAVE ENOUGH TELLERS TO BE ABLE TO HELP ME DO THAT, SO GO HOME AND DO IT ONLINE,Idk if BoH, the institution and its practices, are the problem ~ or if it's bc the manager at this branch seems indifferent and inept. Maybe both.The teller was very nice.

Less branches, shorter hours, longer lines.
