Waikane Store is a small, popular roadside stand that serves real Hawaiian food. It is a simple place you might miss if not looking for it, but the line of customers shows its popularity. The menu is simple, featuring superb, juicy chicken cooked to perfection, which some call the best in Hawaii. Other food includes beef luau, Kalua pig, maki sushi, tasty snacks, and excellent ice cream. The owners are very friendly, hospitable, and excited to share their place, offering a great vibe and generous taste tests. Service is fast and kind. There is no seating area, so customers often eat at a picnic table beside the road with chickens running around or in their cars. Parking can be hard to find as the place is adjacent to a highway. It is a must-stop gem and a takeaway-only spot for good food and better vibes.
Without a doubt the best chicken I’ve ever had. Also the owner is the most kind woman out there, she was so easy to talk to and was so grateful for the visit. Amazing food and treats available, definitely worth the stop. Support this local shop!!

The fried chicken was so juicy and delicious, and the Portuguese sausage roll was excellent as well. We brought them to the park up the street and had an amazing lunch. We split one portion of chicken and one roll between two of us for lunch and were totally satisfied.
