The person working the counter (who may have been the owner) was super nice. She showed us some shirts my husband was interested in and told us about the materials it was made from and all other information about the shirts you could possibly want to know. We ended up buying quiet a few things! We would be happy to come back.

I have had the pleasure of visiting the elephant walk store on a few occasions, and I had Angelei help me. I have found her to be incredibly polite and patient. She has many great items in her specialty store!

I walked in with serious intent to buy the first pair of water/adventure shoes that fit me and my kids. The lady (caucasian, middle-aged or late middle-aged, tall) at the counter was on a personal call and did not even so much as look up at me. There was no one else in the store from the time I entered until the time I left. We directly walked to the shoe section, and spent a lot of time trying on the shoes. I found a pair for myself, but not for the kids. When I walked to the counter to pay, she excused herself from her call, and sheepishly said, "Sorry about that, my brother was just back from the hospital, yada, yada." You know, I understand bad things happen, but unless it's an emergency, you can always do your job/take care of business first and spend the rest of your slow day on the phone. I honestly regret that I gave them any business at all. The following day, I went into Walking in Paradise at Princeville and bought 3 more pairs for the husband and kids. The guy there was friendly, efficient and handled as many as 3 families at a time. So yeah, this review is my note to self about which place to skip next time.

We genuinely enjoyed our brief visit to this store and the conversation at the register, which is important, right? Strange as it seems, our digital world has made monetary transactions both easier and more time consuming. You ever think about that? Running a credit card is convenient, but cash is quicker. When we visited this boutique, the transaction took its sweet time to approve, and that meant we had to (oh my) make small talk with the owner. She was a school teacher before she opened this business, which explained why she was so sweet to our kid; we needed sunglasses for her, and the owner picked out the one and only small pair in the store. I liked the merch, and found prices to be in the neighborhood of an ABC store, a good spot to be a tourist.

I came by this store several weeks ago to purchase a stuffed animal. They didn't have one I liked, actually they did but it was dirty and brown. Spoke to the clerk and said they might not get anymore in and suggested trying the other store at Nawiliwili. Very disappointed. Otherwise, they have some nice things in their store.
