2/22/24 - signed in and waited. Teller asked if we needed help and told her we were there to open a savings and checking account. She said she could assist us and was efficient, having us look over the documents for any errors. Also scheduled notary appt. 2/23/24 - notary appt on time and handled efficiently as well. So pleased with Kapolei location's services. Associates there were not distracted and gave me their full attention, which having worked for a bank before, know the importance to minimize errors.

It sucks here I used to love them getting a loan was an easy process which is why I came back but they went downhill..can't even talk to a loan officer let alone..apply through the phone. I called multiple times and no one will pick up so I decided to go into branch for a faster decision & of course they only take by appointments. This is an emergency & you want me to make an appointment? For you to tell me it's booked for the week..even when I was trying to get a notary service a while back they told me it's booked out for weeks. why not take walk ins if you guys are slow? Literally there was no one in the bank except 1 couple. I mean you couldn't just take me? Goodness! If looking for a loan go to a different bank cause hickam sucks!

Their interest rates are not great. The loan rates are not great. They charge incredibly high fees for over draft fees. They don’t seem to take protection of PIi seriously. The website is basic. They have a big party for the members every year which I never go to and would have rather had a higher interest rate on my savings. The employees are friendly and the phone service is good.

Absolutely terrible customer service. I came in twice within the week/weekend. Saturday, I was turned away for good reason (so I wasn't upset) but came in today at 12:50-1:30pm ish and turned away, for something that was not my fault to try setting up account AGAIN. (Took off school for this) but said oh we're short staffed and for me to try applying online, or schedule appointment. (As two other workers were coming out to desk) ?! I left, to cool down. Because why is it my fault they are short staffed? I offered to wait till others were taken care of. Lady in the middle goes to make a call as I walk in a second time then goes over to the other workers to talk crap about me I'm sure & they all were just looking at me, laughing. So I walked out again. not worth putting up with rude (excuse my language) a** workers. So if you want good service definitely don't go to this location. Definitely felt judged as soon as I walked in.

Called to schedule an appointment, spoke to central call center. Call center tried calling Kapolei office twice No Answer. Call center informed me to do a walk-in if they are available, so I tried. There was only one customer at the teller and no other customer in the bank. I spoke to teller at the end of the counter, I asked her if I can open a savings account and she said they are Busy. I said” there is no customer in the bank” and she still said we are busy. She didn’t offer to help me schedule an appointment or try to tell me the next step. She wasn’t willing to help me in any way. I told her I will open an account at another bank and she said”okay”.

Terrible customer service. Can't even talk to a loan officer. No one answers the phone and they don't respond to emails. The online application had issues and had to reapply twice. Took over a month for them to even get back to me.

HickamFCU has been one of my favorite bank thus far. Tellers are friendly and knowledgeable. Although after the Covid pandemic, they're are only 2-3 tellers at the most. So wait times can vary depending on what time of day you decide to go. Their hours of operation is great. Opens between 10am-5pm Mon-Thur, 10am-6pm on Fridays, 9am-2pm on Saturdays and closed on Sundays and all/most of the federal holidays. Hickam also have of the best CD rates on the island compared to other banks especially if you inquire at the end of the year. Hope my review was helpful. Thanks for your time in reading them. Aloha!

Fast service. Lots of services available here such as CDs, auto loans, ATM, savings & checking accounts, notary and more. Workers always friendly, nicely maintained.

The employees are always helpful; my complaint is with this damn debit card. There is nothing more frustrating than waiting in a VERY long line at COSTCO GAS only to have your debit card decline when there's more than enough money in my account. This has happened to me twice now. It works everywhere else, why won't it work when I need gas? That's enough to have me close my account and go with a different local credit union.

This bank is just "meh or a notch lower than meh" in terms of what this organization offers. I'll elaborate.. Interest rates aren't any better than another credit union, offers no business accounts, online app allows only to view your account balances and nothing more, only 3 withdrawals from BOH each month after that your charged a fee, and a few more but i'll let you go research that otherwise i'll be here all day. BUT Inside Kapolei branch and Pearlridge mall branch the CUSTOMER SERVICE is TOP NOTCH! So thankful for that especially when your coming from having to wait in line for eons the last thing you want is to deal with a grouchy or unfriendly staff member. Always welcoming and patient but quick and efficient too. THANK YOU to all the employees for making the dragging process just a lil bit better. The ATM at Kapolei branch is nazzy, i never really use it because it's grimy and oily sometimes, i hope they start to sanitize and clean it every hour or something. I personally don't use this bank for all my bank needs, i am also with other credit unions like Navy FCU and HawaiiState FCU which are much better with specs and what they have to offer their clients (navy especially is really great all around besides not offering business accounts and the online app is wonderful & you receive your debit card right there after signing up so you won't need to wait for it) and one big perk of HawaiiState FCU is they have unlimited transactions at BOH which is everywhere in the Hawaiian chain of islands. I probably will be closing this account soon to move this account to LawEnforcement FCU or into HawaiiState FCU simply due to better perks. Otherwise things i enjoyed was the cleanliness of the inside, the customer service, and the cool looking debit card unlike Navy FCU's which is just plain red. Just do your research first, everyone has different needs but this bank i've been with for more than 8 years or so, i'm ready to move on to other perks and benefits. Parking is tons. Lots of shops and eateries around this location.

This location is the worst. They have 5 teller windows and almost always have just 1 teller open and 4 closed windows with a long line. Uggh. Loan officers sitting at their desks without any customers don't even come to assist either. wth

My review will be regarding the experience being at this location and not about any account types or programs they offer. Everytime I enter which is about once every 2 weeks or so, I am greeted by a friendly and smiley face. The lines are usually small if any as I don't think have a large number of members in the area. The tellers are quick, efficient, and knowledgeable. Once in a while I would be helped by a new teller in training that could not answer my questions. They would promptly ask me to hold and consult their managers for the correct response which I admire. It is pleasant banking here and after coming in dozens of times I have no reason to think otherwise. Thank you Hickam Federal for the quality experience which is what I think matters a great deal in a bank.

Literally every time I come here and end up with the teller named Vicki, she gives me a hard time or messes something up. I went to deposit some money in my checking account, then asked her to transfer some money from my savings to my checking. She did the opposite. Why would I want to transfer from my checking to my savings when I JUST asked for the money to be deposited in my checking? Hello? When I got in the car and looked at my receipts, I just ended up doing it myself online because I didn't want to go back in because her service is so awful. The only reason I asked her in the first place was because I didn't want to waste an online transfer since you only get like 6 in a month or something. I figured it wouldn't be too difficult of a task, and I honestly always try to give her a chance every time I go. But not anymore. I haven't had issues with the bank itself. I've been with them for years and other employees are pleasant. But Vicki's service is so bad that I'm thinking about changing banks solely so I don't have to deal with her rudeness and incompetence ever again.

Walked in to check the status of my debit card. Turns out It was never ordered, but luckily the staff there was more than willing to help me get that issue solved. A quick picture later and I was back on my way! The service was quick and friendly!
