We went in to purchase a yo-yo (overpriced, might I add). My son opened it right as he stepped out of the door and not even 10 minutes later the string snapped and it broke. We tried to return it or exchange it but they refused. DO NOT go into this place. I am all for supporting local businesses -- obviously, willing to pay for an overpriced toy vs going to Walmart...but this is unacceptable.

The stuff is trained wrong, they watch people like everyone is going to steal and they don't know anything when you asked them, this the best part. I went to buy something that. And out to $21 and paid with a $100 bill, the sales girl tells me that they don't have change and that I might have to come back. Then she checks her drawer and see she has enough, she starts to give me my change in $5's and $1's so I ask her why can't I get any of the 10's or $20's because I clearly see you have more then enough, she then tells me that she has to save it for closing and they need to have a certain amount of 20's to close the drawer. This was at 2pm and they close at like 8-9pm I believe. Smh so I told her I'm not going to take all 5's and 1's she then makes a stink face and says she's only doing this once. I asked for a manager and she said "there at the kahala store so call there" smh sad thing is that this is like the only toy store open now days and I try to not go as much as I use to. I rather support Walmart or target then go there and be mistreated by there staff.

I've always loved shopping at Thinker Toys for my kids. They have unique items that you don't always see at bigger company stores. I love the Ka Makana location because it's in my community. I don't have to travel too far to get quality and educational toys.

My daughter and I love the stuff in this store from trinkets to toys and miscellaneous items. They even carry Hello Kitty items which I hardly see in other stores. Such a cool thing. The store itself is clean and items are easy to find. My daughter grabbed a couple of items for herself. I didn't want to spend a grip of money which I already did by the end of our shopping trip. Anyway, there were two sales associates in the store at the register. I don't mind not being greeted because I like to look around and see items for myself. Located inside the mall. Such a cool store if you have kids who like little trinkets and toys. Highly recommend. Prices were fair..

They charge 100% premium on toys over target or amazon. I’m ok to support local businesses and pay a small premium, but 100% on mass produced toys?! My 6 y/o just wasted years of his savings from selling lemonades and crafts on their premium priced toys. I honestly didn’t think their premium would be 100% and only compared prices later at home. They charge $50 for $25 toys and $25 for $10 toys.We will not set foot in this store again.

Went in there to buy my granddaughter a gift and felt like a criminal turned to my right and a sales girl was standing there. Asked her what a boxed item was and was told "I think it's a figurine and took the box from me and put it back on the shelf. Went around to look on the other side of the shelf and another tall sales person was standing there watching then walked by the register another sales person was watching. Never got a Hi can i help you...Never going back in that store

I dislike how the same toy I got bamboozled into buying for my tantruming 5 year old with a "no return policy" was $25 less at Kapolei Target. I do like to support locally owned vendors, but not for stuff that is mass produced and not at all locally made.

Went in today because I noticed they had some Pokémon items. First off, staff constantly walking around me watching me and my kids as I looked around, not cool. Secondly, they are wayyyyyy over pricing their stuff. $7 for a booster pack that I can still get in stores for $4, $159 for the Pikachu VMAX Celebrations that is sold for $50, $300 for an Elite Trainer Celebrations box, yeah no thanks. As soon as I saw these I got my kids and walked out.

Way overpriced toys! Got two goo jit zu toys that coz me for 45$. The staff is rude! She needs to learn to be kind with a special needs child. She need to put in mind that family with special needs child/children will come and go to their store. And i noticed she talks about it to her boss that my son tried to grab the balloon from her. I told her i saw what you did to my son! I will NEVER go back to this store anymore!

I'm f****** 13 years old and I have to be with my mom who gave me permission to go to the store to be able to even step foot inside they expect me to pay them money for their products if they are going to say that s*** in front of me do not go alone
