“Find of my dreams! My father sailed to Oahu from San Francisco in the 1980’s, before GPS. He used only maps and an instrument for celestial navigation. The sextant is the instrument to navigate the seas using the sun and the horizon. Imagine my surprise to find a beautiful, great condition solid brass sextant at a great price! Treasure indeed. Now… to learn how to use it!.. ??♀️?”
“The women are great here. I broke the buttons on my military pants & ran to this thrift store on a closed day but they still opened the door for me & gave me pants that were exactly my size. I appreciated that so much.”

“The male employee with the glasses needs to be handled!!! The way he speaks to customers AND his own coworkers is not ok. And the female manager needs to go. Absolutely appalling language and behavior.
I appreciate the helpful donation attendant though, very helpful and respectful.”

“Recycle, Reuse, Reduse... It's something I do try my best to do so in every way possible and I've been lucky to have that need without much hesitation though my budget of that does have it limitation to stretch it as much as possible and I have donated anything that I think that could be useable as much as possible. Thrifing is another way to express that stretch as I do keep in mine that anything though a few things here are brand new and not to be just thought as used for some that cringe at the thought of it and am grateful for places like Goodwill that shares the giving nature of Hawai'i has to offer. This Waipahu is on the smaller size but is so nicely organized to have just everything that the other large location has including a fantastic selection of the current holiday decor (Halloween) and having this option in this location is absolutely nice to have and though I didn't find anything today I loved it and will be back when in the area again. Thank you!”

“This place is a hidden gem in Waipahu!
Find and score so many new with tag or nearly new pieces for a great price, especially if you find items that match the color of the day (AKA a percentage off of that item).
They had so many of the latest Target trends because if you didnt know, Target donates all their unsold inventory to Goodwill.
A section for every member of your family and all your possible needs, the store is stuffed with pre-loved treasures.”

“I was on the island for work and figured I'd stop to see if I could find souvenirs for my large family on a budget. I found some great shirts for my wife and boys and a lovely hat and cloth zipper wallet thing for the girls. I even found a great shirt from a local surf shop for me. After I left I noticed one of the shirts had a small hole and the print screen was peeling off but that is just as much my fault for not being more careful and noticing before I purchased.
Oh, and the cashier was friendly and was sure to catch that one of the shirts was marked as half off. Goodwill is always hit and miss but I was able to find what I was looking for.”
“So military bases sometimes have thrift stores....how cool is that! Since I like to support our troops and save money, this place was a god send for me (hold your horses, I know proceeds dont fund the troops). Yes, you need to have military access to come here and if you have that you're golden! They had some of the best prices I've seen on the island, I found a vintage Def Leppard shirt for $2 and otherwise found really cheap clothes to wear to the beach and work. It was double punch day when we went so I took part in that and gave the card to my friend who is local. All in all, one of my favorite thrift stores on Oahu!”
“What I like the most about this particular Goodwill center is the amount of quality clothing that they have. You’d be surprised by how many items are new. I believe they get overstock from places like target. The space is very well organized. Although it’s a physically small smaller space, they have a lot of great finds. They have a large assortment of DVDs and books, if you’re looking for those kinds of things. Oh, and also the staff are friendly. The parking lot is rather small, but it seems sufficient the majority of the times I’ve been there.”
