I take Little boat to Hawaii Marine Center for service. I could probably find a cheaper place but when you’re sitting out in the ocean and your motor doesn’t start … Just remember, you saved yourself 50 bucks 😂 🤔🤔 Anyway, when you want it done right take it to the pros. That’s all I’m saying. They do an amazing job and they stand by their work. Mahalo 🤙🏼

This place used to be amazing. I sailed across the Pacific and used them to repair my outboard. Last time they told me how long it would take and did a spectacular job for a good price. This time, I kept getting told "tomorrow" even to look at it. After a week they only probably spent an hour getting the carb out.
I get delays, also I get unexpected part delays. I even get mechanics that are busy or doing something else. What I don't get is why I couldn't get timely updates and why I had to call every day only to find out that nothing was done that day.
I ended out picking up my outboard in pieces and finding the actual problem with the engine -- some corrosion in the carburetor plunger. Additionally they damaged the screw while removing the carb, and didn't give me back the fuel line clamps, and yet still charged me for the diagnostic.
Had they inspected the outboard on the day they said they would, they would have had enough time to order parts and finish the job correctly. But I had a schedule and ended out spending money and time for very little.
Overall a poor experience this time. They get two stars because:
- they might be the only game in town
- service was great last time a few years back

Got my 1st service done on my new Robalo at Hawaii Marine. Staff was great. I highly recommend this dealership along with their dealership on Oahu. Reasonable cost for the service. In and out same day. I really appreciated how Winward and Hawaii Marine treated me with the overall experience of purchasing a new boat and the required servicing. You don't just buy a boat from these folks and get forgotten. You actually get a relationship of support for your new vessel when you go with these folks.

Needed a pump. They didn't have the exact match but had similar ones. And could have ordered the one I needed. Wound up not getting anything from them but the guy working was very helpful and pleasant. Knowledgeable and great customer service. Definitely going to them first if I need related parts.
