When I came into this fine establishment the atmosphere was amazing. The teller to help me was named Michelle Neill, a financial representative in this establishment. She is courteous, professional, and provided a calming atmosphere as I did my transactions with her. Overall service was exceptional. I look forward to my next visits here !

Would give 0 stars if I could, they claim they help students save and all that but really they don’t. I opted out of courtesy pay and told them to decline my card if I didn’t have enough money, I signed off on it and they still took $30 out for $1 over charges. I kept track of my account and didn’t use my card if I didn’t have enough money, but still for literally $2 over they charged me $30 MULTIPLE TIMES. I’m talking HUNDREDS I had to shell out to them because I was a struggling student. NEVER MAKE AN ACCOUNT WITH THEM

Lei today was very professional and smooth as she handled multiple requests of mine: 1. Open a savings 2. Open a second checking account 3. Make my spouse the beneficiary She is a very detailed and thorough salesperson. When I asked about making savings and checking accounts, she mentioned that we could change the online names after they were opened (she read my mind!) and explained the various steps and processes she was doing, as she was doing it, versus silently typing, keeping me informed on how far along we were. She took the time to ask if I wanted my spouse on ALL my accounts except for two, on which he is a joint-owner. I hadn't realized that he wasn't already on the rest. Good catch! She also offered checks, but I refused because so many of our transactions are with a debit card, but she reminded me that they may come in handy. She gave me pause for thought as I remembered there are a few situations where a check is actually preferred, such as paying a handyman for repairs, etc. So I ordered a small number of checks. She encouraged me to take the starter checks, of which I was originally dismissive, convinced I wouldn't need them right away, by reminding me that I may need the account number for online transactions sooner than the two weeks it would take for my checks to arrive. Why, that is so correct! I always enjoy coming to the Kihei branch, but today I wanted to especially thank Lei for her kind and detailed service. Thanks, Lei!

Even though it is a credit union, their ATM still charges a $3.50 usage fee when using another credit unions card. Maui County FCU is a better alternative with no fee if you need to withdraw cash.

I saw some not so good reviews for this branch, I don't know how they could receive such bad reviews. Every time I've been here, and I have been using this branch since it opened, I have been treated professionally by their friendly staff. All this ID requirements are in place to protect the customer. So all this BS about "they needed my ID and I didn't have it and they wouldn't help me" is nonsense. They gotta ask even if they "know" you. I am grateful that they ask so nobody else can "accidentally" get into my accounts. The convenience and excellent staff makes this place a thumbs up in my book and meet/exceeds my expectation

One of the reasons to become a credit union member is the vast network of ATMs available for use. Unfortunately, even though their website says they are a Co-op Shared Branch, HawaiiUSA still charges other credit union members $3.25 to use their ATM. This is not a credit union that I would want to be a part of.
