Just a word of caution for the first time divers - if you take any medication (doesn't matter what), you may have to get a form signed by a doctor before diving. It's in an asterisk in the fine print of the confirmation email and was never mentioned until I went in person for my dive. I was refunded, but my first time scuba experience was utterly ruined by this.
But what prompted me to give 1 star here is the front desk person kept insisting they mentioned this to me on the phone and over voicemail. I played the voicemail to her and it wasn't mentioned and I have no recollection of discussing this on the phone.

Rent a equipment and I was old, it's the first time it happens to me, the regulator lacked maintenance, the staff is incredible and they treat you very well, whenever I dive I choose this store

Staff not friendly. I wanted to book a dive and the guy at the counter pretty much said no to everything i asked. Instrad of giving me options , alternate days or something. Do not recommend this place

We went over to Molokini with Josh & the crew and was super impressed! The team were amazing, easy going and helpful. The boat is smaller than some of the others so it isn’t crowded with other people, and they leave at a time of day which means Molokini isn’t busy either. Thanks team!

The sun was shining outside and the service shining inside! Rachel was welcoming, friendly and helpful. We are snorkeling while visiting and only had retail needs at the shop on this trip. They had a great selection, and clean and well organized shop with great options. We highly recommend this shop for your needs both in and around the water. It appears they have it all! Thanks Rachel and Maui Dive Shop for making our day a little bit brighter!

My wife and I along with our 2 teenagers went scuba diving for the first time ever and had an amazing experience. Stephen (or Steven, 50/50 chance) was truly great! You come across people sometimes and get the feeling that they are truly doing something they love and that was our experience. Our 13 year old daughter is comfortable in the water but was nervous about scuba. Stephen was really good at helping her feel comfortable and going at her pace, staying in her eye sight every step of the way. We saw a handful of sea turtles and countless species of fish. If/when we scuba on Maui again, it will definitely be with Maui Dive shop.

From the beginning I was impressed with MDS. I had to change the date of my dive and left them a message. I was called back within 30 minutes and accommodated. I'm a dive instructor and have worked on boats in Florida. When I travel I always say that I'm an AOW because I prefer the anonymity. From stepping onto the dock to leaving the boat I was highly impressed with the professionalism, courtesy and knowledge of the crew. They are fun, easy going and provide valet service diving. I was not disappointed by the amount of wildlife their guides were able to find and identify as well. I have already recommended this ship to a friend who is coming to Maui later this month and other friends back in the states. I will definitely book with them when I return to Maui.
