Such a great company - this is my second time diving with these guys and I will do it again when I come back. The crew is both highly professional, skilled and hard working - they leave no stone unturned in making sure we have a safe dive- and they are also so friendly, welcoming and easy to work with - they also made sure we had a fun dive. I’ll never need to look anywhere else if I ever want to dive south Maui - these guys are the best.

My 12yr old and I booked a 2 tank shore dive with Maui Dreams on July 4, 2025. The company did a great job asking questions to properly size our rental equipment over the phone. Chris the divemaster was fantastic. He knew all of the spots to see turtles, fish, sharks and eels. Very professional operation. Highly recommended.

Joel was an incredible dive master and spotted octopus, sharks, turtles, 7-11 crab and many other delightful sea creatures. He carried a little board to write out what we were seeing! I enjoyed the day thoroughly, and the flavored water was a great touch. He’s kind and knowledgeable. We hadn’t dove in 10 years and he made us feel very comfortable and safe!

I have the experience to dive with them, both for an open water referral for my 15 year old daughter, and later advanced dives for myself. So I’ve had the opportunity to see how they operate throughout the spectrum. I’ve been doing this for 20 years, and this is one of the BEST I’ve done it with.
On the open water, the instructor was great with my beginner daughter, and I was comfortable enough to leave her alone after the first dive. She was diving in trim by her checkout dive.
On the advanced side, they have dives with 15 or 40 minimum dive requirements, which is great in ensuring a group of quality divers. During the dive, everyone dove their NDL, turned around back to the boat at a certain previously agreed upon tank pressure, hang out at the reef below the boat, signal the guide when air gets low to do their own safety stop, and surface in their own. This guide comes up last, after the diver with the best air consumption (or diving nitrox) surfaces. This enables safe diving while maximizing everybody’s air time. On this trip I did not dive nitrox myself but I see the little things they do to maximize the premium they paid for their better air time. Now that’s a sign of a fantastic dive operation who knows what they are doing.
And the service… I have my own equipment . I hand them my dive bag at the beginning of the dive. At the end of the dive I wait a couple minutes and they hand me back down my bag with everything in it. Total concierge service.
10 stars out of 5. Will use them again whenever we go back to Maui.

I stopped in here on a recent trip to rent tanks and weights and the staff interaction was great. Not only was I able to easily rent tanks and weights but they offered great feedback, suggestions and information on local shore diving. I also referred some friends that were certified so that they could rent tanks and gear so that we could all go diving together a few days later.
I also dove with their related Island Style Diving and it is one of the best boat diving experiences I have had.

We love Maui Dreams. Our guide Justin made sure we were safe and prepared for our dives. He really took pride in spotting ocean life and made sure we have a great time.
They have a great selection for: Goodr Sunglasses, Nudi Wear, and Stream2Sea reef safe products. ?

I was disappointed with the experience due to a lack of clear communication and guidance. It was not made clear that every question on the questionnaire needed to be answered perfectly. More proactive communication, such as a call to each participant to ensure they were informed about the e-learning requirements and the necessity of a doctor’s note, would have been very helpful.
We drove all the way from Kaanapali and canceled another excursion for this one, only to be told we couldn’t participate because of an incorrect answer on the form. If I had been informed earlier about the importance of the questionnaire, I would have had no issue providing a doctor’s note or ensuring all answers were correct. Calling each participant the day before to check-in and make sure all requirements are met should be a standard adopted by your company.
I have been spearfishing and free diving at depths of 50-80 feet for the past two weeks, yet I was not allowed to scuba dive in less than 30 feet of water. I am even certified through NAUI.
The lack of accommodation and insufficient guidance reflect poorly on the company’s commitment to customer satisfaction. It is disheartening to feel like just another number rather than a valued customer, but that is typical with these tourist trap type of organizations. My expectations were not met by this establishment as it was rated highly by so many customers, and I hope they take this feedback seriously to improve their communication and customer service.

Enjoyed a beautiful sunny shore dive today with the family. Haven't dove for many years, and wanted to take our 12 year old for the first time. We did the scuba discovery class through Maui Dream Dive Co with our son. It was a perfect intro to diving. Our dive instructor, Dave, was knowledgeable, funny and enthusiastic. My kid loved it! Saw turtles, moray eels, ton of cool fish. Can't wait to come back and get him certified so we can continue diving as a family.
