Solid grocery store with pretty much anything you could ask for while traveling. Strong recommendation from me if you need to pick up odds and ends or some ingredients for a meal

Very smart and helpful staff !! I have had several awesome shot appointments and was really happy with the way they handled it all. I feel good going back for more help from this pharmacy. They make you feel welcome.

My wife was in pain and we were trying to get a prescription filled. We tried a pharmacy nearby but they didn't have in stock what she needed. We got to the Safeway pharmacy right as they were closing, yet Dennis was willing to take the time to fill her prescription and was super sweet and kind about it too, saving my wife a lot of the pain she was going through.

After attempting to get a prescription filled at a near by pharmacy and being treated TERRIBLY, I called Safeway pharmacy for help. The ladies there went above and beyond to help and just minutes before closing. I greatly appreciated their help. I’m not local but if I was- I’d definitely go back there for prescriptions.

Pharmacy Manager, in Kihei, is a breathe of fresh air. She was quick, efficient AND friendly! Safeway, give her whatever she wants!

Employees seem bored which reflects management. They avoid eye contact when you meet them in the aisles—probably afraid you’ll ask them to help find something. Definitely not my first choice to shop there.

This pharmacy is terrible. The guy who works there clearly doesn’t like what he does. He ignores the customers on purpose. I waited for at least 20 minutes. 10 minutes into it, I asked if anyone was working in the pick up section. He said hold on and proceeded to just stare at his computer for another 10 minutes. Nobody else was there. Nobody was on the phone. When he finally came over, he said I didn’t have any prescriptions. He asked when it was sent and I said yesterday. He literally laughed at me and said it was going to be at least 2 days before it gets filled because they are short staffed. I asked if he could just check to make sure it was received and again he laughed- said it would take days to filter through all the scripts.
I then called my doctor and asked him to transfer the prescription over to Longs in Kihei. He did and that pharmacy was able to get me my medicine in less than 30 minutes. They literally put Safeway to shame.
The experience described above was the last time I was there. A few months back, I had to explain to him that birth control is a preventative medicine. He tried to tell me it was not and I had to pay almost $100 for the birth control. It was only after the insurance spoke to him that he decided he could put in the effort to run it a different way.
