MASSIVE RIP OFF!!We didn’t know any better as d*** tourists and just rented gear from the first place we found next to our condo. Well come to find out this place is more than DOUBLE the price of every other snorkel shop in Kihei. They charged us $50 a person for basic bare bones gear when the shop right down the street next the the ABC store was $27 a person for the nicest upgraded gear. The more exploring we did the more we realized $25-30 a set is the fair going rate with some places even offering BOGO deals. Just take 2 minutes and research other places and don’t be like us and waste money ?

He lied about the day tour, said this package includes whale watching, Dolphin watching and what not and there was nothing of the sort. The boat took us to good snorkeling sites but I hate that he lied to us about other things.

Super friendly and cool! My family made a friend for life and we’ll be bringing our wedding guests here to get their gear in July!

Can’t complain…the service was great, the prices are much better than at a resorts, multiple locations around the island so that you can return wherever you’d like. They definitely came in handy on our drive to Hana.

I've counted on Snorkel Bobs on all my island trips. They provide the most accurate and HONEST advise as to where is best to snorkel and what excursions are truly worth the money and not just selling you a ticket.

This is my second visit to and rental from Snorkel Bob's. The bottom line here is "Be aware". The equipment is good. The staff is friendly and nice. The availability has not been a problem either time I've rented. The caveat is make sure you understand the policies on return time. I got burned this time with unexpected charges due to return via the after hours drop box. I was never told when I rented that the equipment needed to be returned by noon on the specified date. So I happily snorkeled on that day and returned via the drop slot in Wailea after picking up some dinner. Little did I know the little Snorkly Bob was going to charge me an extra day, to the credit card I used at rental time. A call to the store yielded no satisfaction. SO. Rent with caution and ask questions to be sure you know exactly when to return.

Friendly staff and tons of gear at various sizes for rent or purchase at reasonable rates ($8-24 per day, weekly rates are much lower). They have different kinds of goggles and fins which you can choose independently per your need. They also have swimming vests in case you need it.Returning is also really easy since you can return it in any Snorkel Bob in Hawaii and they also have a dropoff box in case the store is closed. They also have one day/half day tour packages that you can choose from for going snorkeling. They also sell T-shirts, bags and other gear.

The gentleman working was incredibly rude. We tried to explain my fiancé and I wear the same size fins at home, he repeatedly told me womens fins would be a size down. When we politely declined renting to go elsewhere we were told to “go home.” Such a bummer to start the day off in an unnecessary way. Ended up at boss frogs with the best service and a friendly face.

They rent crappie chairs at 35 a week. They have Tommy Bahama down the street for 20 a week. Much better chair for less

They have plenty of convenient locations and ample gear. For the simple vacationer they have what you need at a good price. If you are more serious they have what you need too for a higher price.

Highly recommend, great customer service. I dropped my gear off here and I mentioned I had an issue with one of my rental sets. They were not able to assist with a refund but went the extra mile on contacting the other location and getting things settled for me. I will visit this location again!

We had great service at the Snorkel Bob’s between Kamaole Beach I and II. We first went in to rent and the sales associate said conditions at all the area beaches were poor and not expected to improve the next day. We were happy to wait and not spend any extra money for a lesser experience.Went back a few days later, got fitted with equipment and had a good morning of snorkeling. The second day was also good but the water at Maluaka was rougher than usual due to rain. Went back to the store for a recommendation on a gentler beach. They said Kapalua should meet our needs. It was farther north, but we were so glad we went! Nice beach, and the water was great (tip - if snorkeling the north end enter closer to the center to avoid rocks). We saw several turtles, a large variety of fish, even a cool Moray eel. Glad we went to Snorkel Bob’s!

Not only did we get setcwith snorkle and fins, he booked an excursion for us that was absolutely fantastic. The crew was fabulous and so caring with each guest to ensure ALL guests had a great experience. What made it extra special to me was the way they treated my 9 yr old autistic grandson. He originally did not want to get into e water. But changed his mind and they took such good care of him, lowered him into the water via a noodle and just made sure he was having a great experience. I can't say enough about their generosity, relatability and fun interactions with all of us. A truly wonderful experience.
