We trusted Wailea Movers to move our home furnishings less 3 miles. From the beginning things seemed off. JD estimated 6 guys, two trucks, for 1 day, along with a price. Moving day came and the crew was not given the addresses. 5 guys showed up. 1 truck. Which would have been fine. But, the driver is sick and cannot work, but has to drive because the others cannot drive the truck. So he sits in the truck all day. 4 guys, one truck. These guys did work extra hard to make up for the shortcomings of their company.
After the grueling move, in which I had to help and/or supervise, multiple damages were found. Damaged furniture. Broken art pieces. Destroyed boxes. Some things that can never be replaced. I was told to contact JD to file a claim and it will be fine. I was still forced to pay. I was told we would be reimbursed. To just file a claim.
After emailing JD multiple times to filing a claim, we received no response. After 3 weeks, we were told that the boss is out of town and he would get back to us. He cannot handle this? Isn't there someone who can file an insurance claim? A month later, still no response. Much like other reviews, if you file a claim, you will get ghosted. We have over $5k in damages on a $7k move. Maybe if they had the extra guys and an extra truck things might have went different?
Bottom line: These guys are smiles and roses until they get your things and your money. They destroy your things and take your money. And you are left without either.

I worked with Daniela mostly, she is a 10/10 when it comes to customer service and she’s kind and knowledgeable. She went above and beyond for her client and was always efficient with her communication. I would definitely recommend!

From the moment I started with this wonderful company….. Wailea Moving Company, JD came out to my home and gave me a quote on my move from Maui to the mainland. I accepted this reasonable quote and today was my moving day. Allen and Ricco arrived totally on time today and both guys were very kind and professional and very strong!!! They both got the job done so fast and went out of their way to do extras for me. I have never had the weight lifted off my shoulder as of the case today. I am so very relieved and I know I hired the right company. I am, no doubt, in the best hands ever with Wailea Moving Company and I totally recommend all of them!! Mahalo to you guys!!!

Rollercoaster pricing as new agent miscalculated our cubic footage twice with price increases each time. He tried hard, apologized profusely, but it was still extremely frustrating. Our movers, RJ, Kaunalu, and Kaena were great - very fast, efficient, and handled everything with care.

This company is outstanding. The three movers they sent (RJ, Kaena and Kau) worked their butts off, and actually completed the move well UNDER the originally estimated time.
The guys were there on time, were polite, professional and helpful at all times, and repeatedly went out of their way to make the move as painless as possible. I would hire this company again in a heartbeat!!
