5/30/22 *See SF Japantown Yelp - pictures to be uploaded if I can recover. Quality/Quantity - Need a haircut before grocery shopping? Well, this can be your convenient location. Atmosphere - Larger location than their Lahaina location. This location also always promotes something at the entrance - good marketing! Open 7 days a week from 5am to 11pm. Deli hours are from 10-6pm; also limited hot foods...? See picture. I also like that the hot deli is an island, where we can see them making the rotisserie chickens. Huge selection of fresh poke, you have to ring a bell for service for someone to come out from the back. Other departments at this location are: bakery, produce, pharmacy, meat and seafood, grocery, etc. Service - Need to get a key from register 1 to use the restroom. Price - Consistent. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success since 1949 with 24 locations, second largest and oldest supermarket in HI. Love your flavors of poke, thank you!!

The poke at Times was phenomenal! Loved the variety and they also have hamachi that is imported from Japan that other stores did not have. The prices were also very reasonable and loved the aloha that was present with all workers. Definitely recommend for poke and for any other grocery needs!

I have never written a grocery store review, and the context for this one is one singular item: their hamachi poke is exceptional! Like, there are a lot of poke joints and fancy restaurants in Hawaii, but this hamachi poke is very close to my favorite ever. Skip dinner, take this to the beach, and you will not regret it. Pro tip: go early, it will definitely not be there after 4.

This grocery store looks a little rough around the edges and could use a little remodeling but no matter, they often have Ted's Bakery pies! During the shortage of haupia they were not stocking these pies but prior to that they were and I imagine they will be again soon if it hasn't already resumed. It is the number one reason why I seek out this grocery store when I'm in town. I like that they have parking directly in front of the entrance and they have a lot of local goods here. Prices are reasonable and staff is friendly.

Times Market is a Local market with their own BBQ outside - sold inside (after about 12). Local fruit and vegetable section with all the tee shirts (cool beach paraphernalia you'll need) including sun supplies. Clean restrooms and friendly staff. Great Asian food selection, to include Hawaiian. We went to one on S. Kiehi Rd near Kiehi Garden Estate...has an ATM.

I love coming Times as it just is nostalgic to shopping there as a kid back when it was Star Market & at that time the closest grocery store to where we lived. Recently they have reverted back to carrying more Asian items, which is so great for us here on the south side. The store has restored it's local homey vibe, which you barely see anymore. I like to take advantage of weekly specials/deals as you can usually find some good ones. Yes, I have become one of those people that look forward to my weekly email from them to see what's on sale. Their coupons are now electronic & just one barcode is needed for every deal which is so convenient. Not to mention their weekend deals, which are probably the best ones. My favorite part about Times, though is their poke section. Most of my trips in there is for that. They have a huge variety & probably the best deal for a poke bowl on this island. You get a good amount of poke too, so don't sleep on them. Highly recommend stopping by & supporting our local grocery stores!

I came in tonight for a couple items. I needed Japanese eggplant for my stirfry and they had it prepackaged from Japan. That's a first. Eggs are still too high $ but I got a dozen anyway. The still have no rewards card. I ll use them to save travel time around town or single item. I explored the store this time. A well kept store.

I love coming to Times Supermarket whenever I'm in Kihei! Times is the second-largest supermarket chain in Hawaii and the second oldest, having first opened their doors over 70 years ago in 1949. Although they are no longer owned by a local family, they have still kept some of that old time charm --reminiscent of my hanabata days going to O'oka's and Noda's. It feels "local" and homey and I like that. Walking through the doors, right off the bat you will notice that they have a wide range of Asian products that they bring in from Japan, Korea, Philippines, all over the world really. I feel like they have more of a selection compared to many other stores and they offer more unique products as well. They also have a nice selection of local produce and local products made in Hawaii like Ted's Bakery cakes, Roselani Ice Cream and more. I've also tried some of their grab and go, hot food options and I really enjoy their chicken bulgogi! It's a nice quick meal, but the rice can be a bit inconsistent so choose wisely. Overall, I really like coming to the store and I'm able to get specific items that I'm not able to anywhere else like my Japanese caramel drink, lol. Highly recommend a stop here :)

Great for groceries and more "Asian" inspired snacks compared to Foodland. Tako onion poke and hamachi poke are delicious! The prices are very fair (for hawaii), I think even cheaper for fresh fruit/veggie options compared to Foodland. The staff are super nice, will def be going back whenever I'm visiting

Amazing Poke with so many variations. Their deli cases are full of delicious flavors from spicy, to original poke! The best in Maui!

A small and expensive location but they had what I needed. Wow... need some sun screen and wanted to have reef safe stuff. Two small cans of Hawaiian tropical sun screen were 20$! Everything is expensive in Hawaii... loaf of bread 10$, dozen eggs 9$, a half gallon of milk 10$, small block of cheese 10$... seriously come ready to spend! This location is a bit run down and old fashion but it is close to our location and they had what I wanted. Just Holly cow the prices!

I got there at 10:35 PM. They were closing at 11 PM. One of the workers helped me shop. They have excellent products and excellent attitude. Would highly recommend them.

After visiting Foodland and Safeway for Hawaiian snacks, Times Supermarket is also worth checking out in Kihea. They open really early and close late. I managed to grab a few more last minute snacks that I couldn't find at the other supermarkets before my flight. Scored on other flavors of Hawaiian Sun pancake mixes and Li Hing Hurricane Popcorn which I was so dying to find. Supermarket is as big as Foodland I would say, clean and organized.

5 stars for the poke section! Whenever I go to Times in Kihei it's only for their poke. They have so many options and they're all so good. I love that they have hamachi poke bc its my fave! The guy who runs this area is so awesome and funny to talk to. Our experiences with him are always pleasant bc he's such a great conversationalist. While he's making our poke bowls he talks stories with us and we always have good laughs. I also tried the limu and sweet & spicy poke. All options are great but I will stick to the best one which is hamachi. We also love how they give you a good amount of poke!
