Wai Koa Loop Trail is a beautiful and easy hike located on private property, home to the largest Mahogany Tree plantation in the US. Hikers must complete a mandatory waiver via a QR code before entering. The trail offers stunning foliage, diverse landscapes, and a picturesque stone dam at the end, approximately two miles in. This area features a swimming hole and fun rope swings, making it ideal for families, especially those with smaller kids. The trail allows for both shorter and longer routes, with the longer path being particularly scenic. Many visitors found the hike longer than expected but still enjoyable. A notable feature is the Enchanted Forest route, which some found less impressive and suggested skipping if short on time. The hike is open from sunrise to sunset, and early arrivals can enjoy a less crowded experience. With only about 250 feet of elevation gain and minimal stairs near the Stone Dam, the trail is accessible for all. Hikers can expect a mix of shaded areas and beautiful views. Overall, Wai Koa Loop Trail provides a delightful outdoor experience in Kauai, complete with pleasant temperatures and unique wildlife encounters.
This was a beautiful hike. You can choose a shorter or longer route. The longer route is beautiful and worth taking. Though it is an easy hike, it was longer than I expected. I would highly recommend this hike.

Very nice, easy hike, just plunked you right in the middle of a beautiful forest, part of the hike was closed off but the open parts of the hike were well worth it!
