Rental smelled of cigarettes and was infested with ants. The management company had an exterminator treat it, but we had to wait for the smell to subside.

We stayed in condo #83. The condo was just okay- very outdated but worked. We found cockroaches in our kitchen and there was food from previous guests under chairs/table.

Our stay at the Kiahuna Outrigger was terrible. After we checked in, on our second day, we received a notice of a mandatory schedule interior pest spray. The front desk would NOT reschedule the spraying with the only option being for us move rooms twice during a 7 day stay. Each move took a few hours of packing and moving from a 3rd floor to another building on the 3rd floor. At one point we had no room access for several hours. Absolutely no compensation for our inconvenience was offered, and we spent several hours packing, repacking and moving. The customer service was terrible, even after speaking to the manager and then having Expedia reach on our behalf. Rooms were as expected however, the linens were not available for the pull out couch in one of our rooms. This was noticed after the front desk was closed, and there was no way to get linens after hours. To top this experience off, we had items taken from the guest laundry!! I have stayed at this property several times since the 1990’s… it has been about 5 years since our last trip, and sadly I will NEVER return to this property based on our experience. I would strongly advise finding a different hotel/condo when visiting Poipu.

We've been going to Kiahuna since the 80's, always have loved it. We just left our two week stay after 1 night because the room was dingy and the staff horribly rude. They treated my 83 year old mom horribly! We immediately went to the Sheraton on Poipu and still can't believe the difference in quality and hospitality. We will NEVER go to that place again and strongly advise anyone to stay anywhere else on Poipu! They are nasty and rude and absolutely unhelpful, they just want to take your money. Listen to this advice!

Gorgeous prime location. Rooms are a bit outdated but the property’s beach access is wonderful along with ease of comfortably parking near. It’s very well kept, great access to good restaurants nearby. Would also note most of the units seem to have thin wood framed windows, so though there’s no noise at night, you can comfortably hear through all units through the day. Staff is generally kind, and service/water equipment rentals are very affordable.Important note: Pool and Gym are NOT on the property and you’ll either be walking or driving over for access to the Poipu Athletic club. Super friendly staff there along with a great restaurant with poolside service.Rooms: OlderSafety: So safe!Walkability: Very walkableFood & drinks: Great access nearby but nothing on property

We had an amazing time here several years ago. It is close to Poipu State Beach. The rooms were clean, there are stainless steel barbecue grills outside to use. Plenty of parking.

We actually booked with Castle Kiahuna and not Outrigger - interesting that the resort is not listed in Google Maps ? The location is great but the condos are really old and very overpriced. The first one we had was dark and moldy - noisy due to the street and unacceptable. Second one was 100$ extra a day and OK but still in need of renovation and upgrades. For the price we paid you get 5 star resorts in Asia and other parts of the world. No service whatsoever from the staff plus even a lack of parking in front of your condo.

Used by castles instead of outriggersClean, spacious and comfortable despite its age.Beyond the lawn in front of you is the beachThere is no housekeeping, so bring your towels to the front desk and have them replaced.I think the cost performance is good as an accommodation in the Poipu area.

It's nice. Have stayed here a few times. The beach at the resort here can be quite busy at times.

Positives include: The property is in a great location. Well maintained grounds. Staff are friendly. Rooms are a good size and the kitchenette is really handy if you don’t want to eat out for every meal. Guests have access to the Athletic Club across the street which is good for workouts, tennis, etc. Drawbacks include: really dated furnishings, bathroom and kitchen. There are no bars, restaurants or other common amenities on-site.Nearby activities: Sunrise on the cliff above Shipwreck Beach is a must. Some nice hiking trails as well. Get coffee and breakfast at the Little Fish across the road.

Little bit expensive, but one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at.

We truly enjoyed our stay at Kiahuna. The location is super convenient, you’re close to several good restaurants, coffee shops and tourist attractions. We stayed in a newly renovated garden view unit. Despite it being on the first floor, we only had one roach visitor that we were aware of. Even though our unit was the furthest building away from the beach, the walk to the beach was not bad at all. Along the way, we enjoyed saying hi to the black kitty hangs out near the Castle registration. The kitchen is fully equipped with a glass top stove with a full size oven, dishwasher and coffeemaker. The staff are all so amazing and friendly. Jen at the front desk was super helpful and we greatly appreciated all the help she’s given us. We would definitely stay at Kiahuna again, maybe next time we will pay for a nicer room.

Out of this world. It’s not a hotel it’s condos managed by a hotel like service. So don’t expect room service. Treat it like it’s your apartment. Then you’ll be fine because the grounds are fabulous. I started at 8 days then doubled my stay because I couldn’t leave until I ran out of time.Nearby activities: Need a rental car.Walkability: Immediate small mini malls and restaurant. Commercial.

I was with my family, 4 adults, and the 2 bdrm, 2 bath unit was perfect for us. Be prepared to climb a few stairs as it is on 2nd floor and has 2 floors,The decor place could use a refresh but for the price I'm not complaining! Furnitre, beds, couches and chairs are comfy enough. We didn't spend a lot of time hanging out there. The kitchen is well stocked, great for cooking up and serving the fabulous food. I recommend eating out as at least a few meals though! We've never had better food dining out regardless of price. Food is not cheap but if going to Hawaii safe up and experience the food! The tiny issues we had were addressed immediately with a smile! Kim is awesome. The pool is beautiful though it's a walk to get to its an easy drive. The beach is an easy walk with two access points and is stunning. Stay for at least one sunset. Enjoy watching locals surf the big waves, especially the kids! You won't regret staying at this resort. Enjoy!
