Kukuiula Market is a charming local market located in Kaua'i, beloved for its unique offerings and friendly atmosphere. Reviewers describe it as one of the last local markets in the area, providing a great alternative to larger supermarkets. The market features a variety of delicious food options, including fantastic in-house take-away meals, poke, and generous açaí bowls, which many customers highly recommend. The coffee booth is noted for its tasty bagel sandwiches, with a mix of interesting ingredients that make for a satisfying meal. While the grocery section is smaller and may not have everything expected from a typical supermarket, it still offers a selection of beach-friendly snacks, beverages, and a surprising variety of gluten-free, vegan, and vegetarian items. There are also a few food vendors and even a clothing boutique to explore. Although some find the prices a bit steep for certain staple items, the overall experience is considered worthwhile. Kukuiula Market is praised for its homegrown Hawaiian vibe and is a convenient spot for both groceries and quick bites while enjoying the island.
It has the basic grocery needs. Helpful and friendly staff. I loved the baked cookies.

SO glad my foodie pal and I discovered this wonderful unpretentious market near Poipu. Fresh local foods/fish (manju, deli bar!) at the last family-owned market on Kauai. A refreshing alternative to Safeway or Big Save! We went back 3 times. Also a delightful fruit stand right next door.

Best poke bowls we’ve had on the trip! Generous portions too.
