Lavender! Beauty and solitude. The tea and coffee is subtle and delicious. The honey however is an amazing burst of succulent sweet flavor. A pleasurable sweet and sticky mess on your fingers while it drips off your lips.

Worried about Ali'i Kula Lavender in the wildfires, I checked their website and was relieved to see a banner stating that they and the farm are all right. It is such a peaceful, beautiful place. We enjoyed visiting them and photos of the farm rotate on my computer w/ other travel photos. It's a relief to have good news amidst all the devastation. I have written to Surfing Goat Dairy to check on them.

The drive off the main road makes you question where the end point is. When you see the property and slowly draw upon the lavender scent, picturesque view and immerse yourself amongst the mix of flora and fauna...Aaahhhh!!! A state of zen washes over you. And the gift shop helps you bring gifts to loved ones while you partake of their yummy drink and food offerings too!

Go for the lavender, stay for the views. Some great views of the entire valley. Can also see the paragliders flying overhead and enjoying their views. Plenty of relaxing areas to stop and see various plants and trees that are all quite beautiful. They also have a shop that has lavender infused everything. :)

It's a beautiful place to walk around the garden and enjoy the views from the hills. There are paths to admire the lavender plants. The cute store is stocked with a variety of merchandise on lavender from soap to sprays, teas, and tea towels!

Beautiful grounds. Lots to see and an amazing view. You can see both coasts at once. I'm not a lavender fan, it the fam wanted to come by. Lots of great places to sit and just enjoy the breeze, sounds of nature, and the gorgeous view. Gift shop sells souvenirs and snacks. It is a bit steep in many places, so the whole place isn't accessible if you have mobility problems.

Balance of Flower Ali'i Kula Lavender Farm (AK) is a 13.5-acre farm that sits along the slopes of Haleakalā and is home to 55,000 lavender plants and 20 different varieties of lavender. The Good: *While the summer is the best time to see the lavender blooming, they do have varieties that grow year-round. *Gorgeous views of not just the plants but the surrounding area, and since you're at an elevation of ±4000' you'll really get a bird's eye view of Maui. *They don't have just lavender plants, but a host of other trees and flowers. *At only $3/per entrance fee, this might be the best value on Maui. *Great gift shop that sells all kinds of lavender-themed products; I'm not sure if it's made using their lavender or if it's just a generic brand that they throw their logo on. The Meh:*Garden isn't that big, so don't expect to spend all day here, but it's still pretty good for $3. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯The Ugly:*Wasn't a fan of the lavender lemonade they sold at the gift shop. Hardly any lemon and no discernible lavender flavor. TLDR: Fantastic botanical garden with amazing views and at a great value.

The Ali'i Kula Lavender fields were surprisingly the highlight of our visit to Maui. There was over 12 acres of land that stretched across the plains. In addition to the various types of lavender, there were countless breeds of exotic flowers and tropical plants. We enjoyed walking through the fields and soaking in all of the natural beauty that surrounded us.We spent a good amount of time perusing through the gift shop and bought some lavender oils, lotions, and lip balm. We also bought some lavender scones and cookies to go with our honey lavender tea. The tea was free with a Yelp check-in, which was a pleasant surprise. We at on the balcony to enjoy our treats while admiring the beautiful view.It was so relaxing being there and I would love to come back during my next visit to Maui.

One of the most gorgeous places to visit - I always recommend coming here if just for the peace and fresh air you get while looking at a beautiful scenic view of Maui. Definitely bring shoes or footwear that's easy to get around in as there are a couple of points of walking downhill and uphill throughout the farm. A classic staple has to be the Lavender Scones with the Lilikoi Jelly - this combo is a classic among my friends growing up, and I'll always recommend trying it from their gift shop café if you get the chance along with their coffee/lavender drink options - Miguel Morales Photography

Such a cute place to visit! I love lavender so this place was just what I would want to do when in Maui. The staff is so friendly. You can smell and take some of the flowers to take home and make a small bouquet for yourself. The gift shop is super cute and independently opened if you want to support small businesses. I tried the lavender tea and added lavender honey and lavender scone. The lavender scone was moist and perfectly paired with butter and lavender honey. It was nice sitting on the patio overlooking the mountains and beaches. It's cooler since we were in a higher elevation so I would bring a jacket if you get chilly. It's a great place to relax and unwind.

What a beautiful place.4 stars instead of 5, only because there wasn't a lot of lavender. However, they are in the process of re-planting, so give it time In the meantime, they also have beautiful gardens to wander through and plenty of benches to stop and sit and enjoy.Their gift shop is full of so many wonderful things! Make sure to have a cup of their delicious hot lavender tea with some lavender honey swirled in.Finish your time sitting out on the deck, enjoying a cup of tea, coffee or delicious lavender treats.

Nice outing, $3 per person paid at the parking entrance unless you have military or Hawaii ID then it's $2. Being at 4,000' elevation the place was cool, borderline cold, and overcast or drizzly the entire time we were there. We walked the grounds and admired the lavender, explosion of flowers and all the different birds. I checked in with Yelp app and got a free cup of hot lavender tea, and they gave me a free sample of lavender honey which was really good inside the tea. All the lavender products in the gift shop are very pricey, but that's the price we pay for having things that are local, made locally. I am willing to pay a little extra for something that's not made in China, and even made in Hawaii and this area!We got a themed hoodie, three tiny jars of honey, a box of herb tea, essential oils, couple of lavender brownies and a cookie and it all came to about $133. Almost half of that was the price of the hoodie, $65. This is always a peaceful, fragrant place to hang out for a couple of hours when we visit Maui!
