“For years I used to walk by John’s old shop on Front Street and admired all the beautiful glass pieces he created. I finally was able to get a custom glass octopus created by him. I wanted it to be a representation of my logo for my A/C business. It was so easy working together on the design and during the process. The final product blew my mind with all the details. If anyone is looking for a local artist who makes unreal glass sculptures, Kai Pua Artist Studio & Gallery is the place to go.”

“20 years ago, the third time I was on Maui with wife and 2 kids were in Lahaina for an afternoon of food and fun visiting all the retail stores and art galleries. In one of the galleries a print of Jim Kingwell’s (a room with a view) was something I needed on my wall at home. Done deal. Many more visits to Maui and in 2019 my eyes spotted (Sweet Lahaina Night) hanging above his studio entrance and got that feeling again! Done deal. Every day the 3 panels put me back on the island for a few moments. Ahhh.Thanks Jim”

“This is a gallery with very special art and artists. All truly reflect the beauty and diversity of Hawaii. Anne KenKnight, the gallery manager, took time to show us more samples of artwork we liked, and assured us that even a delicate glass bowl could be shipped to the mainland. She was right! When our "Pizzo" bowl arrived, it was professionally packed and in perfect shape. Another good reason to visit this gallery is to enjoy the breath-taking views from the Ritz-Carlton veranda.”
