Joined before seeing inside of gym because there is no one there working, I would not have joined otherwise. It is not air conditioned at all and is hot and muggy inside. There were no wipes to clean equipment before and or after use so hello ringworm and MRSA. I wish I had paid more and gone somewhere else.

Dirty. I've seen cleaner bathrooms at greyhound bus stations. Hot: have asked for fans for weeks. no wipes .Rusty equipment. Sweat stains on the equipment. Totally no pride of ownership

Gym closes at 3 pm and is $7 in addition to your hotel room cost. Not a bad gym for a hotel, but paying every day for an okay gym when the hotel room is $300 a night I feel like I'm getting taken advantage of.

The whole upstairs was being redone but paid full price. Also the sauna was out of order. The bathroom especially the shower area was not clean and the place is in major need of a remodel. Not what you would expect at a nice resort. Also.. I called a few times prior for more info and they kept changing their prices. And when I went in person.. the price doubled. If you need a workout.. it will do but don't expect much.

If you are in Kaanapali and want to exercise there are not a lot of options if there is no work out room in your resort. I've come here multiple times through the years. The equipment is getting dated, but they have everything you need for a full workout. Fyi- there is not a lot of room here and it gets very hot. The staff are friendly though.

Decent gym with variety of equipment. The guy working there is cool and we had a good chat with him while working out. Would recommend if you're on vacation and want to get a quick workout in for a day.Its 15$ per persin for the day pass so it is a little expensive but there's not too many options around here.

I would give it higher rating but is dirty and old. But so am I. Much of the equipment could look better if someone cleaned and waxed it. I don't go to a gym for atmosphere. The Manager is very helpful and friendly... like family.

I called a month before my trip to see what I needed in order to workout during my stay at the resort. I was told I would be okay with a negative test. Once I got to the gym they wouldn’t even let me in with a negative covid test. Vax only. Very poor communication.

The gym doesn’t actually open until 2:00 pm. You have to have a reservation because there cannot be more than 2 people in at a time. They should mention this on their website and on their voicemail greeting.

Ok, considering all the condo gyms suck, and there isn't a "corporate gym" around this is the best gym within our area. We're staying at the Hono Koa and it's less than a mile walk (10-14 mins) from our condo. As an AVID gym "enthusiast"it has equipment for all major compound exercises. The cardio equipment is up stairs with some mats and bands to stretch. Bottom level is mostly machines and a dumbbell area. I think max dumbbell is 70lbs (not bad). There is no AC or true ventilation which isn't a problem because if you're trying to workout you're going to sweat. There is a handful of fans. Most likely will be back this week to workout again.

After reading a lot of the mediocre reviews and not having any other gym options (Valley Isle Fitness Lahaina closed due to fire) I gave it a try....and I am glad I did. Ok, the gym is small and it feels even smaller if it is full - so timing does help. I went at 7am when it opened and I always got a good workout in before the 8am-9am crowd came in. For the price I paid ($35/week) the cardio and weight machines plus the free weights was well worth the price. Bring your own water and towel. There is a separate fee for parking, so be sure to bring your parking card and the gym staff will validate. Was even able to grab a latte at the coffee shop on the way out.

Unfortunately, after much research, this is the only "gym" in the area of where we were staying which allows outside guests to pay by the day, week, or month($15,$35,$50 respectively). The space is very small and you start sweating right as you walk in there as there isn't much ventilation except maybe a few fans randomly placed throughout. The have an elliptical, bike, and treadmill. As well as Chest Press, Shoulder Press Lat Pull, Arm Curl, Seated Row, Abdominal, Seated Dip, Back Extension, Leg Extension, Seated Leg Curl, Leg Press, and Hip Abduction. They also have a free weight area with benches. But be careful not to briefly place a weight on the bench because the rude woman supervising the fitness center will tell you to remove the 10lb dumbbell because it will ruin the bench surface. Overall I guess this place gets the job done if you need to get your workout in. But for $15 a day it's a bit overpriced for the equipment and attitude you get.
