kinda disappointed, selection wasn’t great, clothing prices were pretty high for how beat up everything was, really warm and muggy inside.

Rude girl took donation and never said thank you just grabbed the bag from me and walked away! So much for feeling good about donating! No Aloha or Mahalo there unfortunately...

Pros:- affordable- friendly staff- Friendly customers- air conditioning!- some items are cute and in good condition If you look hard enough and long enough, found a new slip dress for 10!Cons- some items are very worn- selection is not very organized- no fitting room- mosquitos (I got 10 while being in there for an hour), I left when I noticed I got bittenOverall I wouldn't go back because I don't like having mosquito bites and I'm very prone to them. Deals << bites

Love this shop!!! I have found such great items here - including name brands and Hawaiian dresses - especially since a lot of tourists and residents are constantly dropping new items daily.

IMHO I love shopping yard sales, and thrift shops. I brought of a list of Maui thrift stores to check out if I had the time. As it so happened, I forgot to pack a few items, so I had the opportunity to check out The Salvation Army Family Thrift Store on Shaw St. Parking was minimal so my husband dropped me off while he waited for a closer spot. God is good, one appeared in a few minutes. We were warmly welcomed with aloha! I was hoping to find some tropical treasure that was lightweight enough to bring home, perhaps some garden art sculpture, but really anything that caught my eye. Nothing screamed "take me home" but I did find a curling iron marked for $2. Yes, I forgot to bring mine from home, so this was a definite deal. My hubby found a pair of tropical swimming trunks! He thought its price tag was $10 but after I checked our receipt, I realized we were charged only $4 for it! Yahoo! We paid only $6.25 for our two items! Thank you Salvation Army for your friendly service! We'll be back! Aloha!

The staff was very friendly, but the clothes are all over the place with zero organization. Prices on clothing was also very high. $15-25 for used Hawaiian shirts and dresses? Come on… Not even vintage, just used and well worn. I always try to support the Salvation Army because they do good things, but at those prices I walked out with only a hardback book that was a steal at $1.00.

Kind employees. Low prices. Recycling is always a good thing for the planet and the state of Hawaii.

We are in Lahaina for a Whale watch day and took a chance in here to find a folding wheelchair for a client. But not today. But There were walkers and shower chairs. So I took a stroll in the book area and found a couple I may not have read. I saw a lot of Hawaiiana things. A good supply of Aloha shirts. Nothing for me. But I have bought here before. Once I picked up a all iron skillet with rust that I cleaned up and used for a year. Pretty good 5.00 item. Lots of Aloha Spirit in here. The clerk was incredibly polite. Mahalo
