We booked a private tour for our family of 4. It was our first time riding a segway and I was nervous when I realized that they were not self standing segways. You had to balance them. Tom was a great teacher who made sure we were comfortable and safe at all times. The training was about 45 mins and the tour was over an hour and a half. He took us down kaanapali beach and around front st. Tom was very knowledgable and taught us about the historical sights and tourist areas around Lahaina. Water was provided. Tom took pictures of us and gave them to us on a usb drive for a reasonable fee. This was a fun way to start our first trip to Maui and I highly recommend this tour

We had a great time learning to use the Segways and felt very confident after the short but thorough training received before venturing out on tour. The experience was great fun and our tour leader, Tom, was knowledgeable and engaging. This would be ideal for a family with teenagers.

Do NOT give this establishment your hard-earned money! I booked a two-hour Segway tour on the company's own website (i.e., not a 3rd party site) only for it be canceled via email, with no reason given, the day prior to said tour. The cancellation email was only a single sentence stating that they couldn't accommodate me and that they would cancel the associated transaction.I don't know for sure, but I strongly believe that Segway Maui cancelled my tour because they didn't get enough participants (I was visiting during low season). If you read the other reviews this company has accumulated during their few years in business, you will see that this is not a rare occurrence. Perhaps more importantly, if you read the nasty responses that the owner of this company has left for other negative reviewers, you will plainly see that this place does not value its patrons one bit. The level of unprofessionalism evidenced by the owner's public comments is simply inexcusable.STEER CLEAR OF THIS BUSINESS!

Loads of fun! Owned by a husband and wife, and the husband Tom is a great tour guide. One of the highlights of our trip. We went by the water quite a bit and saw sea turtles a few times. Highly recommended!

Aloha,We went on the tour last week and thoroughly enjoyed the tour with Tom. To ensure we had memories of our first Segway adventure, we paid $30 to receive pictures of us on the tour. When we viewed the files with the pictures, unfortunately, there were only 11 pictures of our tour and the remaining 78 pictures were random Maui scenic pictures. We wished we had more pictures of our Segway adventure. Mahalo.

The tour was fantastic and our guide Tom was extremely considerate and informative. We even got some mangos from the historic prison for the road. Easy 5 stars.

Beyond 5 stars ... Tom was great at training us and I felt very comfortable on the ride. Lots of great historical information during the tour, and just an all around amazing time! Ours was a group of 5 aged from 10 59 ... fun for the whole group!

This was an amazing birthday gift for our teenager! The whole family had so much fun crusing through Lahanina on Segways. We saw places we had never been to before like the old prison. Great guided tour. Surprised how easy it was to get the hang of it. Overall a fabulous experience. Well worth it!

I would give ZERO stars if possible. Went to Hawaii to celebrate our 30th Wedding Anniversary. My husband and I wanted to do a Segway Tour, we love taking Segway Tours. We found Segway Maui. We had to call several times until we finally spoke to someone. We only had 12/1 available to do the tour. We were told they were completely booked for each of the 3 tours they offered. I asked if they had a waitlist in case someone cancelled, they said no. We then looked for another tour and found one through Get Your Guide. They had 12/1 available so we booked and paid for the tour. When we received the confirmation email, we saw that the tour was with Segway Maui. Within 5 minutes of receiving our confirmation, Segway Maui called us. They remembered that I had called and was trying to book this tour. When I asked do you have availability or not, I was given a response of, we don't know about reservations until GetYourGuide contacts us. REALLY?? You don't take your own phone reservations?? I asked again, so are we booked for 12/1 or not? She stated yes you are, we will see you on the 1st. Then gave us information on where to park and what to bring/not bring. Low and behold, they called us the day before the tour to cancel us! They cancelled because miraculously their tour guide was ill. I guess they knew he/she would be ill for several days and apparently only have 1 guide. I believe they never wanted to work on the 1st and the fact that the only booking that got past them was the one for my husband and I, wasn't worth their time to take 2 people out. We don't get to Hawaii all the time, we are from the East Coast, so they now stopped from going on any other possible tours on the island because there wasn't enough time to book anything else. On top of all of this, it is now 15 days later and I still have not received my refund. Get Your Guide knew the Tour was cancelled but because Segway Maui did not contact them, they did not process it. All in all, save your money and try a Segway Tour on another island/place. They really are a lot of fun but this place isn't worth wasting your time with.

I would give this place no stars at all if it would let me. But I'm forced to give it at least 1 star. They wouldn't allow for no stars!! The Segway tour itself was great. However, my husband forgot his backpack in the store. We realized it about 25 minutes later. And hurriedly returned to retrieve our belongings. Even though their website says they are open until 4. We arrived just after 1. Only to find the store locked up and everyone gone! Immediately my husband called the phone number to see if he could get someone to come back and let him get his belongings. He was told, her exact words," It's not my problem that you forgot your backpack!!!!!" Can you even believe that??! His proposal property, she refused to come back and meet us!! And wouldn't offer any other options. Other than she said she will "mail his things on Tuesday when she gets back to the store." It is Friday today! We leave to return home on Sunday. We have to spend the remainder of our vacation without our personal possessions. $700 Prescription glasses, medication, among a lot of other important things!! So, I would say DO NOT USE THIS PLACE!!

I went on the Segway tour recently in Lahaina. I was instructed by management to put my backpack in a storage box while I was on the tour. After the tour, I forgot the backpack in the box. I realized it shortly after leaving the tour office and went back to find the doors locked and no one there. I did not call them when I first realized I forgot the backpack because Google said the office was open until 4:00. I got back around 2. I called the number on the office and talked with Andrea. She had already left the office (on Thursday) and said she would not come back until Tuesday. My flight home was Sunday. The backpack had several items in it of value including an GoPro and my prescription glasses. Without the glasses, I was left with only my prescription sunglasses until I got my backpack. Prescription sunglasses make things very difficult to see in the night time or inside buildings.
During the first phone call, Andrea said she could not come back, even though she had only recently left. She had an appointment. Which is understandable. She said she would make some calls to try to find someone to meet me and get my backpack. After a few hours, and not getting a returned phone call, I called her again to see if she found someone to meet me. She said she didn't and most likely I would have to wait until Tuesday when they came back to the office. Turns out the office is only staffed by appointment only. At this time she said she would try a couple more calls.
The next day, I had not heard from Andrea. I called her to find out if she was able to find someone to meet me. I offered to come to her and get the key and have the police meet me at the store to oversee me only getting the backpack. I suggested having someone she trusted meet me to get my backpack. I made several suggestions to try to resolve the issue. I was told "You are the one that forgot the backpack, it's your problem, not mine" (this is when my wife got upset and wrote the negative review you see below mine)
Andrea did offer to ship the backpack to me, but I did not have any confidence that it would happen. At this point, she did not do anything to give me that confidence.
On Sunday, I made a final plea to Andrea to let me get my belongings. I was scheduled to leave that day and I was planning to change my flights and stay the extra days to get the backpack when she came to the store on Tuesday. I told her I would pay for someone's time, not ever expecting anyone to do this for free, to meet me. Anyone that she trusted with the key to meet me, I would pay them for their time. She told me she would call me back. She called and told me she would go pick it up and meet me at the airport. She did retrieve it and met me and I paid her for her time.
After I got home, Andrea saw the negative review and called me and asked me to have my wife remove the review. I told her I would talk to her. My wife did not want to remove it. After a few cordial emails back and forth between myself and Andrea she realized my wife's email was not going to be removed and this was her final email to me. copied and pasted directly from her
From Andrea "Yes, you are the only person in the whole universe with issues and problems. Everyone else has no life, no family and no issues. Poor you. The whole world rotates around you and what you need and want NOW, like your backpack. Your nagging and calling every freaking hour was so fun to listen too. And yet, I dropped everything off on Sunday evening to go out of my way to give your backpack and your impossible and angry wife goes viral. Unreal! Too bad she only shared a part of the story and not the whole truth! Well tell her to enjoy it! And thank you for the reminder how ungrateful some humans can be!!"
I was not going to do a review of this company. But after getting this email, I had to let people know what kind of person they are doing business with. I would n

A great way to see and explore the city of Lahaina. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. I would definitely reccomend this to people visiting Maui!
