“This place is such a vibe, we stayed in wailea during our stay but drove upto this place few times. This place has everything from food to drink to views. Plan to spend half a day here specially evening hours. Sunset here is beautiful to watch and the street lit up during night.”

“Expensive stores. Don’t depend on posted hours as shops open on island time. Healthy little eateries and a few good restaurants rounded out this cute little plaza.”

“Napili Plaza has the right combination of stores and restaurant that would satisfy almost anyone. It had restaurants like Joey’s Kitchen that served very authentic food but had chicken, beef and pork and seafood dishes but all very well made. This restaurant is considered to be one of the local favorites. A few feet away another restaurant catered to people who may be Vegan or just want the real healthy stuff. A grocery store is also right here at the plaza in case you’d like to get food for your home.We are visiting Maui so it was nice to swim and snorkel a couple minutes away at the Capadia Bay, the best place to snorkel, then find our way to Napili Plaza where we had at least 4 different choices of food type restaurants to choose from.Would recommend stopping by if you haven’t.”

“Went to drop a friend off to do their laundry around 5pm. From the looks of it not all shops were open during this time. Unsure if they're open yet for business or not.”

“The Biggest Tourist attraction that we have on the West Side is Front Street which is located just off of the Old Lahaina Center. There are a lot of shops & restaurants in & around this area.”

“This is an update to the problem I had a few weeks ago. The Lahaina Ace Hardware Store refused to abide by the emailed offer from Hawaii Electric / Ace and exchange my incandescent light bulbs for LED bulbs. It was a great offer, where Hawaii Electric wanted people to give up energy inefficient bulbs and use more efficient LED bulbs.Well, it's a great offer if the people at the store don't refuse to do the exchange and you have to purchase the bulbs instead. That's how it went down.I decided to write to Hawaii Electric and got a nice response from Kolia, who offered to investigate the problem. It took quite a while (like she had anything more important to do? Lol) but she finally got the message across with someone at this store that I should get a refund. Kudos to Kolia for her terrific attitude and efforts to get that straightened out.So, on the following morning, I returned to the Lahaina Ace Hardware Store. I didn't want to wait until the refund offer was forgotten. I asked for the manager (I had no "Karen" attitude) and Myrar came to the checkout. I explained my reason for coming and it was obvious that she had no idea that I should be getting a refund. Someone left this manager out of the loop.Fortunately, after some friendly discussion, Myrar agreed that I should get the refund after I handed over my bag-o-bulbs. Thank you, Myrar, for making this so pleasant.I'm leaving my rating unchanged, because someone left it up to me to convince this nice lady to do the right thing.”

“My friend and I had time to kill before heading back to Oluwalu for the night. We decided to see a movie at the Recency theater in Lahaina.I guess you'd be a local if you have nothing to do in Lahaina than watching the latest new releases to pass the time. My friend and I arrived here and decided to kill time before dinner and watch a movie. It was around 2pm and they were showing the movie M3ghan. I assumed it was horror, but in the end, it really wasn't. Although there was some scenes that may seem horror, I don't think the entire movie would be horror. With that said, my entire experience here at the Regency Theaters - Lahaina was about 2 hours. Deciding what to buy at the concession stands, the actual movie, and 2 restroom breaks. The service was nice and friendly. I was glad that they cleaned up my mess before the start of the movie. I accidentally spilled my large drink on the floor and my friend helped me getting it reported while refilling my drink. The typical movie theater experience applies really. As long as they have the movie you want, the seats are comfortable, you usually get a favorable review from me. At this most recent review, I got both of those hands down. I also purchased a ice cream bar along with the large drink, considering dinner was basically next after watching the movie, so I wanted to save some room in my stomach for that instead of filling up on popcorn and other movie theater snacks. This experience was eventful, since I spilled my drink but was good afterwards. The overall experience here at the Regecy Theaters here at the Wharf Cinema center in Lahaina Maui was as good as it can be. While the drink spill put a damper on things, the experience was nice and a different way to enjoy Maui without the typical Maui things. We tried to keep things budget friendly, so watching a movie to keep up with the current trends does that. The movie theater lobby was well stocked with treats and soda to keep you satisfied. I didn't enjoy the concession stand prices, although I haven't for a long time. My guess is that that's how the actual movie theater makes money and the ticket revenue goes back to the movie studios. The actual movie theater was small but clean. It had about 10 rows of seating and on my experience, my friend and I were the only ones in that room. The only thing that was weird was twice that the movie theater staff walked into the room while the movie was playing just to check if the Exit door was closed properly. Usually don't see that during the movie, but I don't know what they do during their downtime. And so, the movie was good and independent from the actual theater experience. Still weird though. If you have time to kill while on Maui, come to Lahaina and watch a movie. No regrets. Wanted to see the movie I saw, just didn't plan on opening weekend. LolThe regency theaters - Lahaina maui is located in the Wharf Cinema Center in, of course, Lahaina Maui. Its address is 700 Front Street and is the main landmark in Lahaina Town. Can't miss it. Admission is $10 or whatever the prices are at the time. They show feature films that are usually in line with the Hollywood studios and the big budget stuff you see advertised on television and online. They accept major credit cards as well as cash. I was fortunate to have my friend pay my way in and that is usually quite awesome anyway. For the parking thing, best thing to do is to find street parking in the residential areas. Not sure where else to park for Wharf Cinema Center, although there's a free public parking lot that usually full up most days anyway. Good luck finding parking there. Best bet is to get to Lahaina early enough to secure a parking spot. Might need to call them to see what's the options are. If you are like me, the Maui Bus comes to Lahaina from Kahului, Kihei / Wailea, and Kaanapali. Choose the right routes for you. There is of course, Uber and Lyft at your disposal. For the best in budgeting and entertainment, consider the movies while hanging out in Lahaina, M”

“Safeway is a bit pricey, but you're in Lahaina, so paying a little more as opposed to driving all the way to Walmart in Kahului is worth it if you're only grabbing a few things.”
