The rooms are very nice and they are quite! We checked in late at knight they had a key and our paper work in a lock box! That was very nice since we were tiered from our travels!

The location is great. Just a few minutes walk to the beach and a few great restaurants. Not to far of a drive to downtown.

The unit in which I stayed had large and small brown cockroaches, the unit also had old furniture and you had to pay extra if you wanted your room to be cleaned. There was mold in the shower tub. The room size is smaller from other places I've stayed

This is a treasure trove! It has been renovated… decor, furniture & kitchen. It has a washer & dryer with detergent for your use… in your room! There is a dishwasher along with detergent. It is across the street from Nepali Bay where the sea turtles swim close to shore. So be sure to bring your snorkeling gear or you can rent some from Snorkel Bob’s which is on the walk to the bay. There is a pool, hot tub & grill. Be sure to signup for the lei making class! They provide “real” orchids & teach you how to make your own. Also, they may have your room ready earlier than check-in. If so, they will allow you to check in early! Thank you to Lisa who is in the office & helps you get settled in. Mahalo! We can’t wait to see you again!

I love the location. It is a 5 minute walk to a nearby bay where you can swim or snorkel. The Gardens is in a quiet little spot, it's not right in the mess of all the huge hotels by the very crowded beaches. They seem to have plenty of parking, we never seemed to struggle to find a spot no matter what time of day it was. The pool is a decent size and very clean. The hot tub was probably a 6 to 8 person tub. But most of the time we had the pool area to ourselves. We had one little problem and the staff fixed that right away. They were friendly and efficient. (I think they were off on Monday and Tuesday), but we didn't need anything those days. The room had plenty of toilet paper rolls, towels, beach towels, soap, shampoo and conditioner, and lotion. The front desk has beach chairs and other beachy things that you could borrow. The room was pretty updated, the only thing I could say is that the tile in the bathroom and kitchen was not or did not seem as modern as the cabinets and wood floor in the living room and bedroom. I love having a washing machine and they provide soap. Yes, there are chickens, but they didn't seem to bother me as much as other people were saying and I'm a pretty lighter sleeper.

I'm guessing that some of the people here that posted negative comments didn't understand that they were not getting a room at a hotel. There is not 24/7 staff on site at the front desk but they do post their hours. And they even called 2 weeks ahead of my stay to explain the check-in process. You are not getting or paying for a ritzy Hotel. You are paying a decent price for a well-kept comfortable, well appointed condo. We rented a one bedroom, exchange from our timeshare, and we're very pleased with the accommodations. The pull-out bed could be softer but that's typical of pull-out beds and like someone else indicated they will offer you Solutions. We were worried about the roosters reading reviews. But when we got there it truly was no big deal at all there's about six to eight of them that live there. And for anyone who doesn't know there are chickens and roosters running all over the island everywhere. If you have your windows closed and your AC on you don't even hear them in the morning. I actually found it entertaining to go outside in the morning and sit watching them. I will definitely be back.Nearby activities: The neighboring hotel allows access to the beach. Which is a short walk across the street. It is about a 15 minute drive to downtown Lahaina.

This was a great place to stay. Away from the hustle of other resorts and 5 min walk to the beach. Would definitely stay here again. Make sure you have a car. You will need it to get around to the tourist areas. Loved my stay and would definitely recommend.

Enjoyable and comfortable place to stay in Maui. The location could not be better, across the street from one of the most beautiful beaches on Maui. We were on the second floor and had views from f the pool and a golf course. The kitchen had everything thing we needed. Comfortable bed and two full bathrooms. It is truly a home away from home. I would love to stay here again.

Budget hotel with lots of insects. Dont come if you are scared of insects. Killed two giant roaches and many ants and flies inside the room and shower. Towels and bed sheets also had bugs and stains on them. Definitely need to check every inch of it before using. The studio room is equipped with a full kitchen and utensils. But who's cooking on a vacation.

Had tv issues but they fixed it the next morning. Nice to be able to do laundry. Good location, drive a couple miles away for more reasonable priced meals.

If you're looking for a relaxing vacation in Maui, you can't go wrong with the Gardens at West Maui Hotel. Whether you're traveling solo, as a couple, or with your family, this property will cater to your needs. The rooms are spacious and beautifully appointed with modern furnishings and décor. The staff is friendly and attentive, and they go out of their way to make sure that your stay is comfortable and enjoyable.

Honestly I thought this location was perfect for Maui. It's right next to several beaches so you don't have to worry about parking, there is a pool that normally has a limited number of people in it. The area is super quiet so it's relaxing to sit on the property at any point of the day. This is a timeshare property so be aware of that, but they never pushed us into a meeting or tried to get us to buy. There is free parking on the property and they even have events going on during Monday. I would recommend this property for anyone who is looking for smaller, quiet area to spend some time in Maui.

My wife and I stayed in this condo as an RCI exchange. We stayed in a second floor unit overlooking the adjoining golf course. Our unit had one bedroom and one bath. It was very quiet with a nice balcony overlooking the golf course. We did use the kitchen and found it well stocked. The king-size bed was very comfortable. We had no noise issues as mentioned by others. In fact, we found the location to be very quiet overall. We did hear chickens, but this did not disturb us as it was distant, not loud. Chickens are everywhere in Hawaii... The resort was a short walk to two highly rated beaches that were located behind other hotels on the beach. This resort is across the street from those beach front resorts. Gardens does not have a beach view. The pool area was nice overall. The water was warm, and a hot tub was available as well. The pool was underutilized, so it was very private. My wife and I drove to JT Fleming Beach State Park near the Ritz Carlton as it had ample parking and Life Gaurds. This was a 5 minute drive away. Ample restaurants are available in the area. A car is a must. A nice stay overall for us.
