“IMHO I love shopping yard sales, and thrift shops. I brought of a list of Maui thrift stores to check out if I had the time. As it so happened, I forgot to pack a few items, so I had the opportunity to check out The Salvation Army Family Thrift Store on Shaw St. Parking was minimal so my husband dropped me off while he waited for a closer spot. God is good, one appeared in a few minutes. We were warmly welcomed with aloha! I was hoping to find some tropical treasure that was lightweight enough to bring home, perhaps some garden art sculpture, but really anything that caught my eye. Nothing screamed "take me home" but I did find a curling iron marked for $2. Yes, I forgot to bring mine from home, so this was a definite deal. My hubby found a pair of tropical swimming trunks! He thought its price tag was $10 but after I checked our receipt, I realized we were charged only $4 for it! Yahoo! We paid only $6.25 for our two items! Thank you Salvation Army for your friendly service! We'll be back! Aloha!”
