“Absolutely amazing place to stay! You can not beat the views or the privacy. Maybe saw 10 people on the beach total. If you are looking for a quiet place to stay this is it. Make sure your expectations are proper for the time of year you will be there as wind, water, and beach conditions change. We just left after our stay and the weather was a windy but we were still able to snorkel, boogie board, and play in the sand. We even saw a turtle poking its head out of the water in the mornings. Can’t recommend this place high enough! And the owners are so kind!”

“Ordered invitation cards for my brother's wedding and was absolutely satisfied with the service. Although they require specific measurements, the results is just as you expected. Price is also affordable. Go there for anything.”

“We did the Half Day Package which was a land tour of locations movies were shot at, tour of a bunker built for WW II and a boat cruise around part of the island. The package included a Buffett of green salad, macaroni salad, chili, corn, roasted chicken, BBQ ribs and a lemon bar desert. I was very surprised the Buffett lunch was actually good. The Half Day Package was ok and interesting but not overly exciting. Good if you are a movie buff and want to see some filming locations. The boat portion of the tour gave you some nice views of the island and we did see two sea turtles. The guides were knowledgeable and friendly. If I had it to do again I would look at the ATV, horseback riding tours or the zip-lining.”

“I love recommending Waimea Valley for anyone visiting and planning on going to the North Shore-- it's more than just a hike with a waterfall. The area is so well-maintained with beautiful trees and native plants all around. You can stop at Hawaiian cultural spots like a kauhale or play some traditional Hawaiian makahiki games. Admission is $25 for adults if you're visiting and $10 for kama'aina with free admission every Thursday from 12-3pm for kama'aina. It's less of a hike and more of a leisurely stroll, great for people of all ages and active abilities. I think they even off a golf cart ride straight to the waterfall- which is $10 for each person one-way. The waterfall is cold... and you are forced to wear life jackets. But it is really fun and there's lifeguards on-site- making it the safest waterfall on the island. The waterfall isn't always swimmable, you can call them for swimming status which is determined everyday at 9 am. One of the highlights of my visit was seeing the alaeʻula, a native bird that makes their homes in the Waimea ponds. This area is so beautiful and I'm so grateful that this ahupua'a is being so well kept and teaches people about Hawaiian culture.”

“Sunset Ranch is an ideal place for a wedding event. An idyllic venue for an outdoor wedding under the canopies of the trees. The sunset experience culminated with a fire dance !!! The food was well prepared.”

“What a beautiful venue! Tradewinds was our first choice for our wedding reception. We were so thrilled that they could accommodate our small (30 people). They have, within their property, the capability to accommodate larger parties as well. It was a pleasure working with Lana to finalize the details. She was extremely professional and kind. The owners were welcoming as well. Thank you for making our event super special.”
