Manele Small Boat Harbor is a small, quaint, and well-maintained harbor offering a beautiful view of Haleakalā. It features a small boat ramp, restrooms, a general store, and an information kiosk. The harbor is popular for tourist activities such as fishing, sunset cruises, and snorkel trips, with boats that are new and in good condition. Though slips are limited, there is usually a spot for a quick dock. During the day, the harbor can fill with Trinity sailboats, and some locals make trips to Lanai City from here for about $10 per person. The water level can rise during storms, as seen during a tsunami in Tonga, causing some minor damage. Visitors praise the clean facilities, friendly staff, and scenic surroundings, including dolphins and surrounding scenery. The harbor is also used for excursions that provide excellent service and memorable experiences. Overall, Manele Small Boat Harbor is a charming, well-cared-for spot ideal for short stops, boat trips, and enjoying the stunning views.
Pier was about 2 feet higher than the one at Lahaina, so a large step was required. Harbor has great access to the rest of Lanai, and includes ample parking. Road is currently under construction as of April 2026. No public transportation to Lanai City and minimal nearby amenities.

Great small boat harbor on the island of Lana'i. Very protected and beautiful. We air so thankful to have such a great facility to launch and recover boats. The ferry comes in several times a day from Maui and we're thankful for this transportation and access.

The harbor is the terminal for the island ferry at Lenai and supports docking slips for privately owned watercraft. Be aware that Lenai City is well beyond comfortable walking distance from the boat harbor so make sure that you have transportation arranged in advance.
