I recommend signing up for the rum tasting in advance.

What a great rum tasting! Locally sourced and distilled. Amazing flavors. Fun merch at the store too. Located on a super neat plantation where you can do other tours.

RUM TASING IS A MUST DO. Doing the rum tasting was really a fun experience. I learned a lot about their rums and the care they put into them. The tasting guide was very friendly, fun and knowledgeable. It's definitely worth the time and effort to make reservations to do this.

10/10 would recommend! The Koloa Rum Safari was both informative and super fun — great staff, delicious rums (loved the coconut + dark blend), all the animals of the farm lands are sooooo well cared for. It's an educational and family friendly adventure.

Wanted to bring some rum back to the mainland as gifts and souvenirs but didn't have time to do a tasting. We drove to the grounds and they are beautiful. They share the grounds with others including a train that many families were waiting for. Anyway, the gift shop was excellent. We bought so many things and had to stop ourselves. They had shot glasses and t-shirts and dog toys. Candles, soap, spices and other items were also available. They had bar gear and glasses. Prices weren't bad either. We were very happy we stopped here.

We couldn’t get a room Safari door so we just went here for a tasting instead the staff was very friendly and the rum is actually delicious. We even bought a little something for ourselves to take back home. They have a couple of slots for the rum tasting every day and it was super fun and short and quick.

One of the best tastings I have ever been to! The gentleman presenting has great knowledge about the company, island, and lifestyle. We will come here every time we visit family on Kauai.

They need to update their hours on their website, It says open daily but they are in fact Closed Sunday !

Great little store with a variety of Koloa Rum. Rum tasting every half hour, but they only allow 12ish people/tasting, so sign up early and make sure you have your ID!
We tasted the coconut, spiced, dark and new coffee rum and enjoyed them all, but coconut was definitely my favourite. Our tasting guide was great and very knowledgeable!
The rum company is on the same lot as Gaylord's restaurant and the plantation train, so you can definitely spend a bit of time here. :)
