Exactly what you need and nothing else. Not a resort. Drive to the ocean and that can be your pool. This was a first time in a long time that I actually had a physical metal key. It added to the overall experience. Great coffee shops within walking distance and plenty of artwork to look at.

We had a truly wonderful stay at Kauai Palms Hotel πΊβ¨ We booked the garden studio, and our room was absolutely perfect β clean, cozy, and in a super convenient location for exploring Kauai ππ΄ But what made our stay so memorable was the incredible staff ππΌπ
A special mention to Lisa, who was always a joy to correspond with, Talia, who was always super friendly and kind, and an extra heartfelt shoutout to Rini, who was beyond kind and warm when we arrived. Her genuine kindness and heartfelt welcome truly set the tone for our entire stay, and we felt her Aloha in every moment ππ Thank you, Rini, for making our Kauai time extra special π
Highly recommend staying here if you want a caring, convenient, and comfortable base on Kauai.
May all beings be well, be happy, be peaceful π β€οΈ ππΌ
With MettΔ for your wonderful people today, tomorrow, and every single day of your lives,
Noah

If you want a quiet, cozy atmosphere with beautiful scenery and want to be surrounded by beautiful plants and greenery, this is the place! The staff is always nice. If you want coffee, they make it at 8am, unless you stay in the cottage. You will have your own kitchen and coffee maker! The 2 bedroom 2 bath cottage was perfect for me and my 3 boys! Very affordable too!

A small, quaint room with the basic necessities. Served the need. Reasonably priced for the area. Staff was super friendly.
Regrettably, a homeless person knocked on our door at 11pm asking for food.
Due to an early morning the next day, it was reported to mgr after we checked out, and she claimed that the police had collected him.
Bed needs to be replaced in room 18.

Donβt listen to other reviews. Room was very large, even had a mini kitchen with a fridge. A nice tv and a large closet. Room had ac and everything very clean and nice. We enjoyed the kitties they had outside.

It's such an adorable place to stay on the island.. Don't be fooled by the area because these cottage style rooms are totally worth the stay very clean, very quietvery private, and very affordable!! Also, they have a lot of eateries across the street . Thanks for accommodating us during our stay πΈπ€π»

Itβs almost a lie on there website. I wish they let you get your money back cause 200$ a night I would have just bought a tent and been more comfortable. Please do yourself a favor and pay more money for something better. Only thing I can say that was good was they might be the only place that does one night

Stayed in this hotel for a few days as a staycation from Maui. I really enjoyed this room. Free complimentary Kauai coffee is really good. The hotel is vintage Hawaii style and it can be appreciated as other places are keeping up with modern times. The room made do with the activities me and my partner wanted to do. Staff were friendly, grounds were nice.
My minor gripe is the bed was too firm. Shoulder hurts as a side sleeper. That is all. Also keep in mind of the morning noise of the opala trucks coming in. Also another minor thing.
5 stars is definitely deserved.

A small hotel, located near the airport, is a good option for travelers who are staying for a night or a couple of days. Rooms are small, bathrooms are relatively small, it's clean and cozy, parking is small, and there's complementary coffee in the morning. If you are into local history, look at the posters on the first floor near the check-in area and talk to a manager who is passionate about local history and culture and can tell you more about local heritage.

This was a good budget hotel overall. We spent the majority of our days exploring the island so we did not want to pay higher hotel prices. It was a clean and quaint studio room on the 2nd floor with a king bed. The bed was very comfortable. It was a compact room but was sufficient for the 2 of us. The shower pressure was good which you don't always find in hotels. We had a mountain view which was a plus. Other positive things was the beautifully kept grounds (many palm trees, flowers, and plants), complimentary freshly brewed Kauai coffee in the mornings in the lounge, and there is a microwave in the lounge too (we didn't have one in our room, but had a mini-fridge in our room which was sufficient). They had the perfect-sized sink in the lounge for filling up our tall water bottles. The staff were friendly and helpful. I also loved the hotel for the fact that it was within walking distance to restaurants and a small park, and only a 5 minute drive to the airport and short drive to Walmart. Lihue is also centrally located on the island which makes it easier for exploring the other sides of the island which we appreciated.

This room was clean, but incredibly cramped. I got claustrophobic in the bathroom for the first night. They charge more for rooms with air conditioning, but that isn't clear when booking. We were surprised our room did not have ac. Having our windows open meant it was very loud, and not just because of the roosters. The fridge was slightly cooler than room temperature, and it was very bright, with all the lights out in our room I could almost read book. The bed however was nice and things were clean. It does not seem to be in the best area, we heard shots a street away one night. The parking is very minimal, so if you can't find a spot then you will be parking in the neighborhood.
