Lifesaver for many occasions. There a lot of everything: food, clothes, gifts, personal care items.

No reliable hours. Was in store today manager said absolutely open until 9, store shuttered at 7. Not open on Sunday. Unreliable, consistently unreliable.

Lamont's is a great spot to get those needed items and a few that you just want. The location in Marriott/Sonesta is a bit out of view, but the selection and service were fantastic. My wife and I geared up with food, drinks, and even some hats and shirts to enjoy our time in Kauai. If you are in the area take a minute and stop in, the prices are better in some cases than even Target!

I recommend checking this gift shop out. They have many souvenirs you can get at other shops plus they have snacks and beverages so you don't have to leave the hotel to get them.

Just stop right here. If you are visiting Kauai, stay anywhere but here. They are crazy about masks and have the worst service. We had to wait for our Covid results from another island and they wouldn't even give us a bottle of water! Such a joke. They're capitalizing on Covid and the pandemic. Overcharging people an arm and leg. People spend so much money coming to the islands to BREATHE FRESH AIR! Everyone tests multiple times to get here so masks should not be required. 99% of the locals don't wear them. There's a few a holes at the valet who will try to make you put one on. It's funny because they're adding to the fact that majority of people are losing their homes here because of Covid. Grow a pair and stick up for freedom! You're going to lose it all. Every single business in the hotel is out. Ghost town. Every single business we used to love visiting is out of business. Don't just blame your governor and the rules. You're responsible for listing to the nonsense FOLLOW the science. Which shows masks don't work. There zero cases because everyone quarantines and tests. Not because of masks.

We were very hesitant to travel. The alternative was to hang out at the apt for the week of vacation and binge Wandavision. What ultimately convinced us to travel to Kauai was their amazing COVID-19 numbers and strict guidelines with their quarantine bubble. Well if you want to travel to a Hawaiian island, Kauai has one of the fewest infection rates out of all the islands. Since January they've employed quarantine resort bubbles for all visitors. After a negative covid test 72 hours before you fly, you stay at the resort bubble for 72 hours with a tracker band and phone app installed. When your interval is over you can test out with a second negative covid test. As a result the island feels safe and is not crowded at all. The Kauai Marriott is near the airport and has a free shuttle. The resort bubble allows you to travel from your room to sections of the pool, lawn, on site restaurant and A section of a nearby restaurant. Masks everywhere except at the pool. Great staff. Unfortunately you can't goto beach nor swim in the ocean. Hotel dining options are limited to breakfast and lunch. No room service and no housekeeping during your stay. Smart tv can access your Netflix or hbo max accounts. Good WiFi! It was actually very enjoyable. Rooms are clean. Carpet is slightly old. Amazing ocean views with terrace for a slight splurge. Amazing on site garden and Koi pond. The rapid test is easy to schedule and takes about 20 minutes. Then you are free to explore the island! It was nice to be near the airport as we hopped on the shuttle and rented our car. You don't hear any planes or see them. You are actually along a beautiful section of beach. If you are seeking to travel these days, do yourself and your family a favor, go somewhere that takes the necessary precautions to keep you safe.

this resort truly disapointed us while the unit assignment was nothing close to our profile in record when we arrived. We requested a room change immediately without touching anything in the unit, but all we were told was that unit was preassigned and we have no choice but to stay in the same unit for at least a couple days. I asked to speak with a manager who has authority to resolve the issue and was told by the same staff that she is the only manager on duty and no one else is able to help resolve the issue. I'm astonished how this huge resort operation doesn't have a responsible staff on duty to make decisions or get problems resolved for guests. It has not been easy to make the trip happen In the year of pandemic, but the lousy guest service will deter us from coming back again!

I'm Titanium with Marriott. It means absolutely nothing here. Service is subpar and the attitudes are even worse. I'll NEVER stay here again, and I stay in this area plenty for work. I'm looking to switch brands next time I'm in town, not that Marriott cares.

My husband and I went here for our honeymoon and honestly everything was so amazing here! The rooms were clean, the bathroom was decent size, our balcony view was so beautiful, we ordered breakfast almost every morning and were never disappointed. The food was sooo good! The pool is super clean, the grass is freshly cut, the beach was so clean. Everything seemed so well taken care of. I loved the little gift shop they had as well, it was kind of like a gas station. Had milk and cereal and other little snacks. I highly recommend this place! It's absolutely beautiful and worth the price.

Having stayed in this lovely resort 5 years ago, it felt so good to be back, it felt like returning home. The resort was as gorgeous as we remembered last time we here. But more than anything, we were so excited and hoping to see Miss. Faith, the Conceirge again. You see, the last time we were here, Miss Faith had been so good to us. She recommended all the best places for us to see and things for us to. She sent us to visit the Senior's Crafts Fair that time where we had the very best smoked pork. We still talk about it now. She showed us so much kindness and made our trip that time so very memorable that we always talk about her with fondness and couldn't wait to see her again. I am sure Miss Faith, sees thousands of guests each year, I didn't even think she would remember us, but when she saw us again, she greeted us with so much love and kindness, like we were long time friends. It felt so good to see her again and welcomed back by her. Her recommendations as always was spot on and I love that she is a foodie like us so her tips for poke and roast pork was so very helpful to us. We went and saw her every chance we got. She is one of the reasons why we chose to stay here again. Our rooms were gorgeous and had full ocean view. The best part of my day was waking up and opening the sliding doors to see and hear the ocean waves. We had two very spacious rooms, one room consisted of a kitchenette with a full size refrigerator microwave, dishwasher, sink, full bathroom, dining table, spacious living room and a balcony. The second room consisted of a comfy king bed, sofa, a full bath and another balcony. Both the rooms were very clean, updated and well maintained. Both our bathrooms were updated as well. The kitchenette was nicely stocked as in Maui. We were able to prepare simple breakfast like toasted bagel and make coffee every day. Since the fridge was a full sized fridge, we stocked it up with fresh juices, fruits and all our favorites for easy breakfast and snacks. Also we were able to eat takeout dinners using real plates, glasses and silverware. The housekeeping staff were excellent. They always made sure our rooms were sparkling clean and well stocked daily. They even came back for turndown service every night, tidied up our room if it needed and left us chocolates, which my toddler loved. The highlight of our toddler's day was feeding all the beautiful fish in the koi pond every morning at 9:00 am. She absolutely loved it and could just spend her entire day there. My husband and I are the type of people who love to explore the island and see everything that there is to see. Can you believe the last time we were here we never even went to the gorgeous beach that is on property and never used their absolutely breathtaking pool! This time we were different. We still drove around and saw everything that Miss Faith recommended that we see but after that we set aside a few days just to relax in the resort which both our babies absolutely loved. Our toddler loved both the big, beautiful pool, and the fun kiddie pool. We literally had to carry her out each time as she didn't want to leave. She also loved running around the beach with her Papa and building sandcastles. We were able to relax and enjoy every minute of family time. We really appreciated the shops and restaurants that were walking distance from the property. I particularly loved walking to Kauai Boba & BBQ few times a day to pick up Boba, Musubi, lunch and dinner. We would have loved to try the Kikuchi food truck but it was closed every time we went there. The staff at the hotel was always so very nice and greeted us with courtesy and a smile every time they saw us. Stephen the bellman was so very helpful and courteous. I am the kind of foodie who loves to explore a culture through food. It is not that I do not enjoy fancy foods in fancy restaurants, but my heart truly belongs to small mom and pop, hole in the wall gems, where the food is no fuss but cooked with love and totally delicious. Stephen gave us

We feel in love with this place 30 years ago pre hurricane. We took the mahogany hand built boats onto the lagoon, touring the various birds and other wildlife. Even monkey island. There was gorgeous pagoda on the water, where many nuptials were had. Unfortunately claimed by the hurricane and now 18th green. The hotel is spread out along paths, ponds, hills and lush vegetation. That opens to a massive pool. That over looks The channel, then the pacific adjacent to the sleeping giant. The rooms themselves are clean and functional. Nothing spectacular! But we did get to sample 3 of em. You see we booked a month ago and had to move rooms every night. But that gave us an opportunity to stay in 3 different buildings, two with great views. Both nights on ocean we slept to the rhythm of the pounding surf And gentle morning rains. We never bothered to eat at the hotel except Dukes. But this location and view make it almost the perfect launch spot to head to west Poipu or north up the coast. The simple truth you feel special here. Starting with being greeted by the long tenured bell hops to the many smiling alohas from all the staff. Pampered elegance... indulgence at it's finest.

A pretty cool resort. Not so large that you'll get lost, but not too small that you won't feel like it's not extravagant. Staff is friendly and the grounds are well taken care of. Plus free parking which a lot of resorts rip you off with. Pool is also huge and connects to the beach. Room is comfortable and decent sized. Overall one of the better resorts in Kaua'i.

I've stayed here a few times, and this last time, in the owner's villa section with an oceanfront room. I choose this place a few times now because of the pool, it's the largest on the island and also because I'm a Marriott member and I can use my points. However, that's just about it. The rooms are nice (if you get a good room and pay extra for it), ours had a kitchenette in it and it had a great ocean front view with a balcony. We loved it. The staff are nice (most of them), the resort is beautiful and manicured with beautiful and lush gardens, the koi pond is great, especially for the 9 am feeding, and there's a private beach. However, the restaurants aren't that great, though I had a great lunch stop at Duke's this last time for some Ahi and some Hula pie before my flight. The staff are inconsistent, the fitness center is clean but small, the area is by the airport, so depending on where your room is, you can probably get annoyed with all the helicopters and planes flying over your room. This past time was a great experience and for a very hefty price tag, it better be, but my advice to you is to pay a little extra for a better room, it's worth it if you're staying at least 3 nights.
