I've been shopping at this store for several years. Not sure who the haole is in the seafood, but he is very disrespectful. Losing your temper and snapping on customers is completely unacceptable. Do better.

It's a grocery store. They were doing some remodeling, so the aisles were crowded, but if you're after alcohol, they have tons of it.

This Safeway is a good option for couples staying at a condo while visiting Kauai. Costco is better for larger parties but Safeway is best for two people. It is expensive, which is to be expected on Kauai. But it was more expensive than the groceries available in limited quantities at Walmart a mile or so away. My suggestion for couples is to split up groceries between Walmart and Safeway to get the best bang for your buck. I think our Safeway rewards card from the mainland worked for the member sale prices, so that helps for sure. Any way you look at it if staying in a condo eating most meals with groceries from Safeway is MUCH cheaper than dining out all the time.

Only 1 cashier on a Saturday…long lines. They dont have most of the products on the website and the employees are less than pleasant. Walmart is just down the road. Ho there.
