Was recommended an over the counter product by a pharmacist who didn’t seem interested in taking my question. The product caused extreme pain and when I called to ask for recommendations of what to do, was put on hold by who seemed to be the same pharmacist for a while and eventually passed on to someone else. The second pharmacist tried their best to help but the lack of concern and disregarding attitude of the original pharmacist was very alarming especially when they are recommending products that can have bad effects.

Somehow the debit card i used was not finalized when I picked up my Rx's at the Lihue Wal-Mart. They called and said I forgot to pay. How did I get out of the store with out a receipt? Went back in on next trip to town. The barricade widow was up and pharmacy open. I told them I needed to pay for meds picked up previously. The said WE CAN HELP YOU BECAUSE WE DON'T HAVE ANY CASH REGISTERS LET. IT TOOK NEARLY 1/2 HOUR for a manager to bring the cash register drawers. WE ARE UNDERSTAFFED because not enough people came in to work. At the earlier encounter which went unpaid - according to them - I waited near 45 minutes for them to fill one Rx, and all they could tell me was WE'RE WORKING ON IT. IT'S NOT QUITE READY. CAN YOU COME BACK LATER? Travel time from my home to WalMart is generally 45-60 minutes one way. I avoid going there unless completely necessary. Time to switch pharmacies. The Pharmacists In Charge (they call them Pharmacy Managers) are S-L-O-W. The technicians need more training. I've worked with pharmacists and in pharmacies, and these folks are sub-par.

Worst of the worst! Saw my doctor, had prescription filled and sent to Walmart. Went to Walmart, spent about an hour browsing and shopping. Finally after paying my groceries, went and lined up at the pharmacy to pick up my prescription. Waited for about 20 minutes before I was called to the front.

I only went here because the other pharmacy that was prepping my antibiotic and prednisone were out of this pain medicine prescription I needed. They said half hour wait. I waited hour and a half and asked them what the hold up was. The pharmacist was like" Oh I need to know what this medicine is for." I told her it was for strep throat. My throat was so sore I had to whisper. Then she asked me if this was a separate issue from last time I picked up pain medicine months prior and told her last time I had a kidney stone. I've been ruled out through objective testing each both times I was sick, a CT showed my kidney stone, and today I had a throat swab show strep throat. Another 15 minutes go by and the pharmacist was like, "what I don't understand is why you are only picking up this medication, it's not going to cure your strep, and so I had to tell her again, that I was waiting for my other prescriptions to be ready at the other pharmacy and I only had to come to this pharmacy to pick up this prescription. Overall, I was delayed treatment by hours, when all they needed to do was either call me and ask whatever questions they wanted instead of look at me suspiciously like im some kind of tweak or whatever.

We were visiting in the area and had to replace one of my medications. They were very helpful here and took care of what I needed in a short time. You can always depend on Walmart anywhere you go when traveling

Thank you Shineth and Robert for your compassionate care and help. Long day and long story.....after late afternoon doctor's appointment for my son we rushed to Longs Drugs Eleele to order the medications. The pharmacist refused to fill the prescription because they did not recognised the Doctors name( it was written in cursive). She suggested we go the next day when the doctors office is open to verify him. Not having evening and morning doses of four medications would of been detrimental for my son. It was getting late and we went to the KVMH ER to check if they can help. The nurse called Longs Drugs Eleele to verify that this is a legitimate doctor but they still refused to fill the prescription. We had two options: to check in the er and run $2000 unnecessary bill for the insurance or drive 34 miles to the Walmart Pharmacy. It was obvious that we couldn't make it to Walmart before the prescription closing time. I called the Walmart pharmacy and talked to Shineth about my concern. She assured me that they could still help us and fill the prescription after the cut off time. I made it 20 minutes after the prescription drop off closed. Our medications were ready 10 minutes after the pharmacy closed. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you Shineth and Robert! May you be Blessed for your act of simple Kindness. We all affect other people's life in positive or negative way. The choice is ours.

The Walmart Pharmacy is my second choice behind Safeway. Walmart is fast and very helpful and always will be on the cheaper option. But it does take a long long time for them to fill even then simple medication and I believe that is because they one have one or two Pharmacist at a time and yet they have dozens of people who are interested in filling their prescription all one time so I guess it's a matter of if you want to wait that long or just go to a different location.
