Hot Island Glass is a Maui family business that has been building beautiful objects from molten glass since 1992. It is a small specialty glass blowing shop and studio/gallery with a casual and welcoming environment. Visitors are welcome to saddle up to the viewing bar, drink coffee, and watch the artists blow glass live in the hot shop. The glass blowers are super open and love to answer questions. The gallery features an exquisite collection of items available for purchase, from several different artists on Maui and a couple from other islands. They have a number of larger unique and modern items, gorgeous vases with spun accents, and series where you can choose from several similar items in various colors or sizes. They offer a nice selection at reasonable prices, including a shelf of "seconds" for half price. The shop will do commissions and ship to the mainland or other islands.
Cool watching them make glass stuff. I can't afford anything here, but was happy they let you watch for free.

Beautiful glass art with very reasonable pricing compared to any of the shops near resorts. Very nice clerk and artist. We bought three pieces, and may stop in again before heading home.

Chris the owner was amazing at showing his glass blowing abilities. Stayed and watched for an hour without even realizing it. Truely a talented artist and it was such a treat to watch him work! Thanks!!!
