I HAVE BEEN WITH FIRST HAWAIIAN BANK FOR 29 YEARS OPENED IN HILO HI. NOW USING THE MILILANI BRANCH THEY THREATENED TO DESTROY THE CONTENTS OF MY (SAFE DEPOST BOX) IF CONTENTS WERE NOT REMOVED BY A CERTAIN DATE. AVERAGE WAIT TIME FOR A PHONE CALL IS 30 MINUTESTHEY SUCK

Highway robbery with the fees. Lines is so long for any banking needs. Just found out the other day, they charged me $10 for dormant fee in July and so I went today to close my account and I found out they charged another $10 for this month. Now, I have been with them for over two decades. This is too crazy. My account have not even been inactive for two years. Was told that the fee will continue to apply until the account is out of funds or overdrawn. Is that legal and it is like the bank using the fees to completely overtake all of your money. I will not go back with them ever again! Also, the bank app is doing an upgrade and will not even work for 3 days.

Every time I come here for in person banking, the line is long. Add to that the fact that when I finally make it through the line the teller will often lack the skills or training to provide the service I need so they'll tell me to wait in another line. The atm machines in front are often out of service. When they are in service, the FHB format has many redundant steps that make a simple cash withdrawal take much longer than it should. Every single time I log in to a FHB atm it says please wait while we update your personal preferences. Then it asks me what language I would like to use. You'd think that would be part of a bank's attempt to understand my personal preferences. This bank doesn't seem to care much about its clients.

I lived in Mililani for 23 years before I moved out of island. Before I left I went to branch closed my account. I thought everything was done. After months and months I received overdrawn letter from FHB. I called found out the tell did tried close my account was not closed my account lead to overdrawn for months. I didn’t get or call or email just letters. Between moving I didn’t get the letter for months later. I called many times and try to reach someone but finally got hold of service manager- JENNIFER. Thanks to her my account is cleared after 9 months since I moved away. So even is one star but I hope you train the teller do right job at first time. Communicate with customer do better service in the future!All aloha

This bank was way more efficient before their big, fancy move across the parking lot. Now wait times are ridiculous. 8 people infront of me, 10 behind me. 2 tellers at 3:00pm on a Friday for the non business transactions. 1 of the 2 tellers keeps disappearing into a room to the right, the other has her back to everyone. We were in line for nearly 30 minutes for a simple deposit. Got out at 3:42.

Only 2 people working the front and a line out the door on a Friday! Manager is just walking around instead of hoping on a computer and helping customers!

If you like to spend your whole day waiting in line at a bank, this bank is for you. They also close at four which I think is highly inconvenient

This branch is terrible. Always a long line and only one or two bank tellers working. Currently at FHB Mililani now (3/22/23) and one bank teller is working with a line of at least 6 to 7 people deep. However, another worker feels its more important to blow up balloons and set up decorations instead of helping people.

Could be more customer service friendly and mind to their own computer screens instead of other guests. Additionally, proficiency in computer training could alleviate the long lines and misunderstandings.

Terrible customer service! Always long lines. Too few tellers. Sometimes there may be four tellers in the non-business account section, but inevitably two of them are engaged in something other than helping customers. Awful!

This branch is lousy, there is ALWAYS a line! Just two tellers who spend more time talking story, LOUDLY! You'll see other staff walking back and forth trying to look busy, how about jumping in and helping out? Recently I had a problem using the ATM, there was an error message that read, "unable to process,,,," I was more curious than alarmed and the branch was very busy but I stood in line. The teller was of no help. Another staff member took me over to the ATM where it was found to be out of cash! So, it was the back of the line for me, again. Ridiculous.

Horrible customer service. Employee Cierra was talking and laughing incredibly loud at the front lobby for a good 30 minutes until we were called upon to be helped. Horrible service to get a quick fix on my account. Waited an extra 30 minutes for her to finish talking story. Pissed. Another employee asked us what we needed help with, told her, she said okay be right back, and never returned to help. Horrible. Go to another FHB branch to be helped out.

If i could give this location 0 stars I WOULD. I went in today to see if i could get my car refinanced & bank teller decides to tell me "Why, you have a good payment already?" I was stunned at what she said because that is so rude to tell someone that! Obviously I know my own bill & if i want to refinance it, it is for my financial reasons. It is not my fault I got a car with an affordable payment if it is my choice go refinance my car THAT IS MY CHOICE. And she repeated herself, and I told her well i have a lot of bills! You don't know someone's life or what they deal with! This bank teller was horrible and RUDE! I couldn't believe what she had said and actually just walked out and left! HORRIBLE! HORRIBLE! HORRIBLE! I was fuming after this experience! TERRIBLE!

The new location located in the same parking lot as the old FHB is nice. Big. But why did they get rid of the teller line? With only the 2 stand ups and couple on the left. Whyyyyyy?????? I used to work at the PC location and we were do quick. What happened to quickness?!?! And why do the stations go vertically?? I'm so confused and very disappointed with how they've made the newer branches. So unfortunate.
