They make mistakes frequently, not following the standard banking policy. Their employees don’t know how to say” thank you” and do not appreciate the business.

Talk about the WAIT! I come here often to deposit and every time there's a wait. I understand that there are a lot people--but you can make a huge difference by simply thanking people for waiting while they are in line. I went in today and one teller was just taking his sweet a** time. Not once acknowledged the line. And a female teller that perhaps appeared to be the supervisor just stood over him to assist. However, a lot of the assisting was just waiting for the printer to print out whatever it was printing. All the while, she could have easily acknowledged the guests in line and stepped away from the printer to log in on her own. That's what she ended up doing right after the first teller was done with his transaction. She has multiple opportunities to multi task or at least go through the line like other banks and ask what type of transaction they are going to want to do (to determine if it will be quick or a long one). In short, not a very proactive group of people working here.

I love banking with HawaiiUSA FCU! Staff is always professional, friendly and helpful. They never rush you when you have a question and want to make changes to your account... even if the line is getting long.

I always enjoy going to this location to do all my banking needs. The tellers are nice & professional. They always answer my questions. The one thing I like is the ATM machine that is located inside the bank. You can withdraw money & request certain amounts. I just wish that ATM machine wasn't always out of service. I went today & the ATM machine was still out of service since last week.

Came in here today 9/26 around 11:00 and there was a really rude girl working there. Shes short, on the heavier side, and Filipino with straight long hair I should've got her name I will if I go here again. Anywho I was next in line and was waiting for a while because there was a teller helping another male teller and another girl that was busy. When she was finally ready to help me, she was not friendly AT ALL; no hello. I told her what I needed (deposit money). Then she proceeded to ask personal questions about my last name and if I got married. I said no. Then I guess she didn't like that answer and said so you added a name? Um yes, that's what it looks like right. I said yes with no explanation. Then she asked why was no documents provided. I told her the documents were on the way. She then called me out on the note on my account that I was told a while back that they needed a document. I then told her I had to move and my papers got lost in storage so I had to order another one. When I was going into detail with an attitude back to her, she then said "oh!" And sounded like she didn't wanna hear more? First off it's none of her business. They should either say they can't provide this service if I don't give a certain document. Plain and simple. Part of my name is the same on my account so what's the big deal? I can't deposit or withdraw money because I added a last name? Lose the attitude girl, grow up and do your job with courtesy.

The Mililani Branch personnel are nice and friendly; however, their financial policies for the entire Hawaii USA FCU system are outdated and poor. If you are the power-of-attorney to make a transaction on the account, you need to bring in the original document each visit. Why don't they indicate the person in the system once the person and the document are validated? You need to call the credit union in advance if you want to withdraw $5,000 in cash or more. Guess they will run out of $$$. If you are a joint owner of the account, they will not allow you to close the account if you are not designated the primary account holder. Someone needs to tell them joint owner means the account is equally shared. In my case, I was joint account holder with my mother. I can withdraw money from the account, but unable to close. in my case, I had to bring in the original death certificate. I'm surprised that they did not ask me to bring in the body. While the physical appearance is updated, their administrative policies for member services is so antiquated!

Very modern interior since it's not regular teller windows but open stations. Never looked carefully enough to see if the tellers have to stand all those hours. Everyone in line can see you conducting your financial transaction. Kinda like banking in a fish bowl. Thus the one less star. The line usually gets pretty long. Have you ever noticed customer body language in line or being serviced? If the line is long enough you could be a fashion inspector... cool footwear, nice hairstyle, etc. There are a few cubicles in the back area for personal assistance. Within the past year I came in 3 times for cubicle needs to set up CDs or take out a loan. Twice Jeanie helped me and she is nice and easy to conduct business with. The most recent visit yesterday was to make one BIG deposit plus open another CD. Glad I found a stall right in front. In the back of my mind I didn't want to be mugged carrying $26,000 in cash. Thank goodness for the windfall. Told hubs I needed to go to the credit union after lunch. He just went and took a nap. Good thing I didn't blow it all on diamonds or something extravagant- only thing in this shopping center is food, drinks, Ross, and 24 hour. I should have at least gone to get a mani/pedi or a Starbucks drink.

I've been a member here for easily over a decade and it's the best banking experience for me yet. (Had membership at First Federal, First Hawaiian, UHFCU and closed them all for this.) They've helped me with loans and with setting up friends to help with excessive interest issues on student loans. So far, I haven't found anyone close in regards to dealing with loans and checking in Hawaii that gives better service and rates overall. Their services are increasing, and I'm getting used to using both their photo deposit services and the ATM deposit when it's busy, but I have to say overall, I'm really happy with everything they offer. I still can't find a checking account with better interest rates, so I'd hope anyone reading this might check out their Elite checking feature. Direct deposit required once a month, 10 purchases on the debit card (if they did 2x Hawaiian Miles on this, I'd really consider doing much more on this feature), and for the highest interest rate on checking I've seen in all local banks and FCUs.

I opened an account with my daughter in 2018 before she went away to school in Maryland because this is one of the institutions that offers a student line of credit. When we opened it, we told them that she was going to be away at school. This means that it should have been noted on her account that she was going to be in Maryland! The first year...zero problems. This school year...a bunch of her transactions are being denied. This is even after she's been contacted by the fraud department several times and has verified that she is the one doing the transactions. My one star rating is for the service I received over the phone when I was trying to figure everything out and was being assisted by someone named Nadine. I was frustrated because my daughter is half way across the continent with a 6 hour time difference and cannot use her debit card. I'm pretty sure Nadine hung up on me. When I called back, she was supposedly talking to another customer and claimed we were disconnected so I asked to speak to a manager and was given a supervisor instead. If we didn't have the student line of credit, I would close the accounts. Parents, just open savings accounts with the minimum $5 amounts to qualify as members so you can apply for the line of credit. Set up your college student's checking accounts w/debit card access somewhere else.

I've been a member here for about 10 years now but I've never taken the time to share my experience s. Everytime I enter this branch I am greeted with a smile and a pleasant greeting. The clerk's are attentive to the customers that they are servicing and are very nice. Sometimes when I'm in a rush or just having a crazy day and I have to go to the credit union. Just a kind word from the clerk and I'm having a great day. Thank you HawaiiUsa FCU.

I have been a Hawaii USA FCU member since high school! I've been to many different branches and they have all had a similar layout. I used to frequent the Mililani Shopping Center location until the relocation. When the branch reopened I was relieved I could finally do banking again. As I walked through past the ATM, it was very different. Not in a good way. There was no queue, and people waiting to see a teller were just scattered near the entrance. For banking at the teller desk, there was no sense of privacy. You and the teller are basically standing side by side. I really didn't care for the New atmosphere and haven't been back often since. Another problem that can't be helped about this location is the parking. There are way to many cars in this lot compared to spaces especially at meal times. This doesn't stop me from banking with Hawaii USA FCU but I try to avoid having to visit this location because it's not ideal for me.
