We booked PODS for our move from Hawaii to Nevada and saved a TON of money. We were quoted over $20,000 from another company and we couldn't even bring everything that we did in our POD because there's no weight restriction with PODS.We didn't have room at our condo to bring the POD so we hired movers and they packed their truck and drove it up the street to the PODS location and they allowed us to load it at their location. It was so much easier that way because the movers pack it to the roof like a tetris game and nothing was broken when it arrived. Also buy at least 8 - 12 straps to strap each section as you pack to there's no shifting. The PODS location in Mililani also allowed us to come back twice and add stuff to our POD after we cleaned our house and cars out before we shipped them.Customer service was excellent. There is a lot of information with billing because they bill you for each leg of the trip which is nice. They bill when we loaded our POD, then once we told them to ship it. Once it arrived in LA and left to Nevada we were billed again and so on. One thing that I did miss during the conversation was the fact that they only ship twice a month from Hawaii to the mainland. Like I said it was a lot of information and I'm sure they told me but that's something I missed which wasn't great for us because we were without our stuff for an extra 2 weeks. The amount they quoted was almost exactly what they billed us.I had to call customer service several times to reschedule since our original house deal fell through but with all of our changes we made, and there were many, they never messed up our container shipment. Everything was communicated through the website plus they didn't mind me calling all the time to confirm delivery.

I booked online, it arrived on time, we packed it up and they came to pick it up. It really went as smoothly as I could have hoped. We are storing for a few months, so it is great in between moving to store the big stuff.

Pods dropped the ball from beginning to end with my move to Hawaii. If I start from the beginning the first mess up was an incorrect quote, which wasn't an issue, it was the difference of maybe $100 or so. When I noticed a spelling error on my personal information, I let them know, customer service said it was an easy fix and she would email me the confirmation for the quote change. .. mind you at this point. I had filled out all the necessary forms. Instead of receiving the new quote form, I received an email saying that my email address was changed (to an incorrect non existent email that I had no access to) and that I would no longer be receiving correspondence on my (correct email) . I called immediately, but the hold lines were too long, being that I have a life and was in the middle of renovating and moving 2 houses, I called and held on multiple days for as long as my time would allow. I finally resolved thus error a couple days after when I could get ahold of a real person. Because they changed my email, I could not login to the customer portal and resolve that way online. ... pods gets dropped off, and there is no real issue, yes the door was a little hard to open but everything from that point was all up to me. Fill out multiple forms sent over multiple emails, calling and confirming that everything was all ready on my end set to go. And them telling me over multiple calls that I was set to go. Then I'd receive an email that a form was missing. Then I'd fill out said form. Then confirm NOW do you guys have everything you need from me?? They say yes. They come get my container, and it is held in my state until scheduled shipping. Which is supposed to leave a couple of days before my flight. I get a call the day of my flight, telling me my container is being delayed because of a form that wasn't filled out!!! After MULTIPLE CONFIRMATIONS that I had all the necessary forms. It'd be easier to check the portal myself to make sure I have all the forms myself, correct? Except their portal never updated on my end, it still had the old quote and the old incorrect destination. So I couldn't just check to make sure on my own.I fill out the missing forms. And my pods container sits in my state for a couple weeks. Hadn't even been shipped to the state and port of departure. Missed its first and second voyages even though by the second voyage they had all necessary paperwork. What was the delay? Anyways. I finally get news that my pods has landed on the first island and was ready to be sent to my island. We schedule the date. Th customer service person informs me that they are only open Monday (half day) and Wednesday and Thursday (full days), I ask what the access times are for Wednesday and Thursday, since that's the obvious choice, and he tells me 7am to 11am, I say daaaang that's a full day, then I wonder what a half day is... he laughs, I don't think anything of it. I schedule it for access on the two coinciding days the next week.Tuesday comes and I rent a uhaul to load my belongings in on Wednesday morning. Mind you I had to pay for uhaul, fill it up with gas and pay for milage for a 80 mile trip... show up on Wednesday, and not only was my container not there, it hadn't even left the island. When I called they could care less about the issue, and just said they would send it out on Friday... so you would think it'd be accessible Monday right? Nope. It didn't show up until Tuesday. When Tuesday came, I drove to the port. Because I couldn't get any clear answers or correspondence from PODS , to ask the company harbor if my container had shown up for their Tuesday voyages. It did. Relief. I confirm the only amount of time to unload is from 7am to 11am, correct? And he says yes, and I say, it's just wild that that's a full day, what even is a half day hours of operation? And he laughs and says, Mondays it 7 - 3, Monday is a full day of access .... so you mean to tell me... pods not only misinformed me. I got screwed out of an entir

Very professional, But just be wary on them keep an eye out for charges even though your just inquiring for a quote. Went with a different company

PODS made moving less stressful. Pack/unpack on your schedule. Excellent customer service -delivery/pickup drivers, phone customer service, warehouse workers; convenient storage and moving options, convenient location of their warehouse if you need to access the items in storage.

Ultimately, PODS was the most painless and professional aspect of a mainland move to Hawaii and I would absolutely suggest them over other confusing and complicated options.

I'm so mad at PODS right now! We are moving from Hawaii to Florida. POD was delivered on 9/15, we packed it and PODS picked it up on 9/19. So far, so good. The pickup driver said to call when we had our delivery address in Florida. Fast forward 5 and a 1/2 weeks to 10/27 when I called PODS to give them a delivery address and check on the move status. THE POD IS STILL SITTING IN THEIR HAWAII WAREHOUSE!!!! The "best" they could do is get me on the calendar for the POD to go out on November 15th for delivery in mid-December. Ridiculous!!!

This ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ review is for the employees that delivered and removed my POD.Mel was great in delivering our POD. The skill in placing it in our tight space ? remarkable and he was very friendly. This was years ago and yes, I still remember his name. ? Unfortunately, I did not get his last name.Francis Rulloda removed our POD and he went above and beyond to remove it with extreme care ?. Above and beyond customer service and he too had amazing skill. Very personable and an assets to any company.Our family truely appreciates these employees and appreciate their excellent customer service. ?

So many problems. Customer service was terrible. Spent hours on hold. Actual hours. Said they were busy, but waiting 40 minutes every phone call to them is abysmal service. Never notified us when the container arrived— on a different date. No communication. Meanwhile, we were waiting in our empty house for our belongings. No warning, no notice.
