Not sure if there is a change in management, but I would frequent this store for my floral needs. There was a female manager that was absolutely superb with customer service. She went out of her way to look for items in the back and knew what she had in stock. I've visited the store 3 times recently and there seems to be a new worker. Most of the flowers displayed were soft and showed significant browning. The floral area was slippery with water, but the worker spent my entire time there talking to his coworker. During another visit, my husband had to interrupt him to ask if he was taking orders for Mother's Day because this same worker does not acknowledge customers. He said no, we're not taking any more orders(which is unusual for this store.) We went to Waikele Safeway right after and they happily took our orders. I hope this is temporary and the female manager returns.

Have you ever seen their fresh parsley?...especially their cilantro...looks overgrown and sick. The butchers aren't terribly helpful except for that new haole gentleman who is always very helpful, which I appreciate. Thank God for Rona and Charmain..always helpful and smiles. They don't carry a lot of local type preferences in veggies, etc. maybe because it is a mainland store.

I am at Safeway again. It is in my backyard. One lane open and slow line. It is like this repeatedly. They keep wanting everyone to go to self checkout.

I am very happy with my trip to Safeway! I have a variety of allergies and there isn't many foods that I can have in a normal grocery store trip. I thought that the store was clean and well organized. I also thought that the staff was friendly and made me feel welcomed while I was there. I am not sure what else to write but I highly suggest checking out Safeway as an alternative to the health food stores, especially if you don't want to drive far from you home.

In response to 'ROBERT C.' : Robert, you must be a mainland transplant. You obviously don't have a clue that most everything you see in the grocery store is imported from somewhere else. As for me, I am grateful that we have ANY produce in the stores...period. Yes, the US can put the Hubble in action, but really? Where is your sense of reality. You must be residing in another Universe in your mind. Not reality based living on an island in the middle of nowhere with limited goods and services....sigh. Be grateful for what you have. Many people who feel so entitled as you end up leaving the islands as they want to bring their Western colonial culture with them here to Hawaii. You always have the option of leaving and returning to where you came from instead of complaining and acting so entitled.

I live on the opposite side of Mililani, so this Safeway is the farthest from me. However it is worth the drive, parking is always great. They have the best French bread, baked fresh daily. No other supermarket can compare with the French bread. Also the cupcakes are the best priced and in comparison to other supermarkets they have the best floral selections and design. I'm sure everyone in Mililani knows this, but I want to let everyone know that this Safeway has one of the nicest assistant manager, Darlene she should be a manger of her own store. Darlene is very caring of both her store and her customers, very attentive and does her best to service customers. She is also very professional In her position and yet can relate to customers needs. Safeway you should be proud of Darlene she is an asset to your company.

I was visiting and had a great experience. The staff was friendly and professional and really enjoyed chatting with Ian who was very helpful. Being my first time in Hawaii, I appreciated his customer service and enthusiasm to help me find what I was looking for. Will be back next time in Hawaii!

I've never yelped a grocery store before but I just wanted to leave a shout out for this Safeway. It's always so bright and clean in here. Thank you for being open in the middle of the night and having awesome and helpful staff like Ian, who despite being in the middle of his work, was kind enough to help my super crabby self find the Afrin my aunty made go get her. Ian thank you so much for being helpful and funny to a frustrated crank at 2am!

I love Safeway Mililani! Meat selection is always top tier. I like to shop early morning due to social anxiety issues. Ian on staff is aware of this and always goes the extra mile to ensure my comfort and satisfaction. I truly appreciate the friendly attitude and professional service. Thank you.

I shop here every week because every Saturday I go to a small get together for my Ohana out in Mililani. I am not much of a cook myself but I always end up bringing a lot of food and pretend I cooked it myself. I definitely give the Safeway in Mililani a FIVE STARS ratings because of the outstanding customer service I receive while shopping in this store. I am very picky of where I chose to shop and customer service means everything to me. When you have questions, you want them answered and you don't want to feel like you are bothering the employees. I give a huge shoutout to Trini who works at the deli in Safeway Mililani! She gets five stars for her customer service! She makes my visit to the deli very pleasant because she is very attentive and helpful. Not something I always get from the other workers in the deli. But most of the time I shop Trini is there so it's ok. She is always working by herself it seems. Thank you Trini! I appreciate you! I may be opening my own shop in Honolulu soon and if you ever part ways with Safeway get in touch with me please so I can offer you a job! Only if you leave Safeway for other reasons I am not trying to steal their workers! See you tomorrow morning I hope!

The quality of Safeway Mililani products have seriously gone down the past few months. Out of the last 10 times I've gotten milk, 4 of them were all spoiled! Now, I tell my family there's a 60/40 chance the milk we all buy at Safeway will be spoiled, so beware before swallowing a big gulp, which I have done once before, not to mention I am 8 months pregnant and trying to keep my body healthy as possible! Last weekend, I bought a package of Jenny O's ground turkey via Instacart from Safeway Mililani. Upon opening it, again, a rotten spoiled smell! Again, garbage. I never have returned any of the products that were rotten or spoiled from Safeway, just always absorbing all the lost money, and it's such a big task to do especially when pregnant, but now I've had it. Most recently, yesterday (7/19/21), I bought a package of chicken drumsticks from the poultry department, with the expiration date of 7/22/21. Immediately upon opening the package, it smelled like rotten eggs....spoiled! Is the quality going down because it's the summer season? are things being left out during transit longer than they should be? IDK, but I'm seriously disappointed by Safeway Mililani's fresh quality products And I will consider going to Foodland or Times for my future grocery purchases. REPLY: I did reach out to the "contact us" section on your website with literally the same story as above. I got a reply apologizing and saying I should just continue returning spoiled items with a receipt. How's that for "making it right"?

July 16, 2021 We stopped at the Mililani Safeway because we needed to pick up poke for a birthday dinner. Our favorite, the tsunami, was all out. That is the only poke I ever buy from Safeway. We asked the girl if there's any way she could make us some tsunami sauce and just mix it on the garlic ahi poke that was there. She refused saying that's the one with the most ingredients. We proceeded to order what was available. and after picking 6 different items I was still feeling bummed about the tsunami so i asked if the spicy tuna sauce was hard to make and if not if she could please make some for us. She mumbled, "not really, i guess i can make it now." We very gratefully thanked her and then immediately regretted it. She grabbed a mixing bowl and slammed it down, very aggressively scooped the poke out of the chiller, turned around and slammed the bowl onto the counter behind her and made a lot of noise mixing the sauce. Well, she was obviously pissed that she had to spend all of 2 minutes to make us happy. She should've just said no like she did with the tsunami. Kid's nowadays severely lack any kind of customer service skills. All they have is that self entitled attitude of theirs. From now on I will drive a little further to Foodland since they are a lot friendlier there.

Mililani Safeway bakery sucks. They always run out of $5 baking goods. Pisses me off when I asked the bakers if there is anything left of the $5 cakes and am told they are sold out. While I'm still around another customer ask if they have the same thing and they tell her someone put a bunch on hold, but I can share you one. Went to ther Safeway's and they have ample stock on bake goods. Won't ever ship here again. Manager needs to manage the inventory well in each sale section.

The Cashier that assisted me today is extremely rude and condescending her name is Jean, I hate to put peoples name out there but this lady was so rude, there's certain way you can say things nicer instead of being so sassy and rude. I get it you had a long day but it doesn't hurt to be nice. I'm a regular at this store and I live nearby but this is the very first time I don't ever wanna come back to this store.

Super disappointed in bakery department! This is the second time in one week that they messed up our cakes! The first time I ordered a half sheet frozen cake for my daughters birthday. When we got there the lady was super nice and apologised stating the person who took my order did not check to see if they had the whole birthday kit so I was missing the background. I was totally okay with that I'd make it work! Then she apologised again after checking my receipt, she owned up to her mistake and said she made the cake and didn't see it was a half sheet and she did a quarter cake. She looked really sincere and offered to throw their cake in and even marked my cake down! I really appreciated her sincerity and her owning up to her mistake and fixing it! Walked away very happy. Went back the next weekend ordered a quarter cake for my niece. Picked it up and the background does not look like the one in the book. They also didn't even write on it! I never notice it till I went home and my sister said they supposed to write on it, we went back and showed them the receipt, she said sorry took it and wrote it not even 5 minutes. It was literally scribbled! Very disappointed that they are so careless and worst part is she did a poor job I could have just wrote it myself!
