For a small store, they sure have a lot of items! You can probably find anything you need here. They also have a nice lunch counter and are famous for their home made chili. And everyone is super friendly too!
Their chili is truly legendary in these parts. What's cool is the little park across the street that has a picnic table in a little pavilion. There is also a clean bathroom. It's an awesome spot to enjoy your chili!

The prices aren't actually that bad. Could have a better cooler/freezer section. If they remodeled this would be one of the best mini-marts in Hawai'i.

Excellent place to pick up a meal. The staff are very friendly and the store has some interesting items. Seems like the store is very popular in the area. We got a chili dog plate and chili bowl for lunch on our way to Volcanoes National Park. The chili is loaded with ingredients and flavor! We've had it several times and will be back again on your next visit. Our lunch was so delicious as we enjoyed eating at a picnic table next to the visitor's center.

So Frolic Hawaii kept raving about the Chili here about 'best Chili in Hawaii' so on my way to Volcanos National Park I decided to make a stop to try it and grab an energy drink at the store. Clerk was friendly and got my Chili Bowl. My uncle said depending on who prepares the chili that day its hit or miss. Mines that day was a bit too soupy and oily, reminded me of a pizza soup since it had button mushrooms and olives. After the initial taste and cooling off, i added the mayo which was recommended by the clerk. Added a creaminess which made it better imo?Id say it was worth the visit, but hard to say it was the best chili ever in Hawaii.
