We cleaned our sandals from sand before getting in and the lady in the place didn't want us to come in because she saw us... Didn't feel welcome at all

I purchased a pair of shorts at the Wailea location for a family member. They were too small so went to exchange them. Sign up on the door...closed for 5 weeks for renovations. Today, I drove out there again and they refused to make the exchange because it's over 30 days. I a boiling over this. Such bad business practices. This was out of my control. Will never shop there again.

Wanted to like this place but the employee that was there completely ruined the entire experience. Her employee number was 200309 and she had dark hair. Honestly, I felt talked down to, she had a terrible demeanor, and should not be helping customers, as she ripped pants out of my hand at one point while I was looking through them. The entire group felt kind of targeted and disrespected. At one point, I asked if the material I was buying would stain from sand, as it was a white board short. She just kind of shirked off the question and said I would have to figure it out myself.Towards the end, I didn’t even want to be in a store with her and my group left because she was being rude.

If you're looking for fantastic service from ladies with beautiful smiles, go to go to Honolua Surf Co in Paia and talk to Celine and Tiare, they will take care of you :)

A little frustrated with the customer experience here. Kinda felt condescended to by the cashier and really tried to get out of there as quickly as possible based on the negativity I was getting.

I managed to find tshirts here for everyone I was shopping for. Great costumer service, good prices, good selection. I hate shopping for clothes for other people, I would rather take my rented Elantra off-roading. Thanks to the lovely ladies working there today, I managed to find what I needed painlessly. Cèline in particular talked me back from the ledge when all I wanted to do was give up. She was super helpful in figuring out what to get the women I was shopping for, in particular. Thanks again Cèline!

Great group of folks at this location. We visited another location and the staff was pretty rude. Neat stuff, decent value, especially if they are having a sale.

We've popped into this store a few times over the years. During our most recent visit to Paia (9/1/19), I needed some new swim trunks. They have a decent inventory for a small town and I realize things sell out quickly when they're popular. The employees here were not all that friendly and didn't offer to assist when it came to looking for options or sizes. There's only one dressing room so every time you left to search for a different item, you loose your spot in the dressing room. The day I shopped there, the AC was off/broken and it was super hot. The dressing room even hotter. I ended up buying some RVCA shorts here, with zero assistance from any of the employees. I don't know that I'd go back unless I was desperate to be honest.

We first came to this store two days ago when we first befit to Paia and were walking around "exploring". Found a lot of cool stuff in the store but never bought anything. Now, two days later, we came back! Good thing we did, cause some swim trunks that the hubby wanted use to be BOGO 50% off... But now.. They were all 50% off AND once your spend $100, you get 25 off your next purchase of 50 or more! To say the least, we made out like bandits after making two separate purchases. The two people who were working (they actually worked the other time we stopped in) were super friendly and remembers us from our previous visit. I like the clothes because it was still "surfer"ish with a hint of "gift shop"ish.. If that makes any sense. Anywho, check this spot out if your ever in town.

Since this place has not been reviewed since 2009, I would like to review it. I had a very pleasant experience, this is an amazing surf shop, that has ties to larger surf lines (Billabong, Roxy, Quicksilver, RVCA, etc) and so they have custom designer shirts with Maui printed on them. Super rad souvenirs for friends and family. I thought they had very fair prices, and I enjoyed the staff!

Hands down the rudest people on the island work at this store. My family and I went in on two separate occasions once on 12/24 and once on 12/26. At first, we thought the employees were "in character" because of how snotty and rude they were, but after visiting again today it's very clear they are just plain ol' rude. The clothes are decent. Very inexpensive the same type you'd find out WalMart, Target, or H&M. If you are in town, stop in and look for some deals, just don't talk to the associates; because, they are simply foul people. Each of the girls I encountered there clearly thought they were more than they were. Their attitudes are something you'd find on the mainland. If I could give it less than 1 star I would. It's too bad that they have such worthless people representing their brand. Perhaps they made the same mistake with their other location hence why it closed. If the girls who worked on 12/24 & 12/26/09 are reading this, try an attitude adjustment, you REALLY need one.
