Not the friendliest and knowledgable on products/menu items staff.HOWEVER, this was some DELICIOUS and unique flavors on pizza that I would have never thought would taste SO GOOD on a pizza. We got the proscuitto, and fig pizza, and would 11/10 recommend and get it again!

Unfriendliest staff I‘ve seen in a while. Pumps weren’t working properly and we even had 2 other customers come out and help because staff didn’t wanna move an inch.

We usually ask the locals where they go for lunch and we're so glad we did. This was our first stop in Princeville and the food was great. Huge shoutout to Fina for being so wonderful. We ordered the fish-n-chips, chicken katsu, burgers, and chicken tenders. All the best onion rings and tartar sauce I've ever had in my life. It's located right in a plaza with a Foodland and Lapperts just steps away. Perfect to take back home or to the beach.

Came here for chili pepper chicken. It was really good, would definitely come back! Got some tips to not get the Mac salad and got fries instead.

If Mac salad made with spaghetti noodles is appealing then you better get yourself to the north side to dine on some plate lunch. Located in a gas station, the general store is serving up some of HI's best comfort food. Ordered a few items from the menu including the hamburger steak, salad, chicken fingers, and at the recommendation of staff a serving of garlic bread. If you came to Princeville with the hopes of losing weight than this might not be the place for you. Chicken fingers were Panko coated and fried, mushroom gravy thick and flavorful, garlic bread was garlicky and delicious, and hamburger steak was just as it sounds coated in gravy accompanied by spaghetti salad and rice. Appears to be more of a locals place so come early or be prepared to wait.

A local favorite grill that doesn't really cater to tourists but the menu is extensive and the prices are the cheapest in Princeville. The family loved their plate lunch of chicken katsu and chili peppa chicken. I found the katsu far superior of the two. Gruff service, fresh made and affordable.

Ok, one of these days my luck is gonna run out with buying food at gas stations. At first, it was a deep fried twinkie in a 76. Next it was Krispy Krunchy chicken at several gas stations throughout the Bay Area. Today, it's the chili pepper chicken at this janky gas station. Lots of locals picking up dinner, tourists looking for cheap eats, this place did not disappoint. Don't be dissuaded by the cardboard looking dry pizza sitting in the glass case for what seemed like since the Reagan years. Ignore that and order you some of that chicken. Well stocked fridge with liquor and various sundries, it's a place worth checking out if you're willing to wait in a line---food came out hot and freshly made.

I had this gas station highly recommended by some local folks. Intrigued, I decided to give it a try, opting for the chicken katsu and loco moco. While my experience was pleasant overall, it was certainly nothing extraordinary. I would rate it as a solid 3 stars.Let's start with the highlights. The chicken katsu was undoubtedly the star of the meal. The crispy coating encasing the tender chicken was delightful, and the accompanying sauce had a pleasing balance of flavors that complemented the dish perfectly. It was a satisfying and well-executed rendition of this classic dish.Moving on to the loco moco, however, things were a bit lackluster. The burger patties lacked the juicy, beefy flavor I was hoping for, and unfortunately, they were also somewhat dry. While the concept of incorporating loco moco into a gas station meal is commendable, the execution fell short of expectations. On a positive note, the tasty gravy provided a welcomed burst of flavor and helped to elevate the overall experience. The gal at the counter deserves a special mention. Not only was she helpful, but she also had a great sense of humor, which added a touch of warmth to the meal. Her friendly demeanor made the gas station dining experience more enjoyable. In terms of ambiance and setting, it's important to keep in mind that this was still a gas station. Despite the expanded menu and the unique options, the overall experience felt quite ordinary. It served its purpose as a convenient stop for a quick bite, but it lacked the charm and ambiance of a dedicated restaurant. To sum it up, while the gas station meal had its highlights, it ultimately fell into the realm of normal gas station fare. If you find yourself in need of a quick meal during your journey, this gas station might suffice, but don't expect anything beyond the ordinary.

Terrible food quality. Dirty. We ordered a bbq sandwich and the meat was so hard we couldn't eat it. Also the fried chicken sandwich was super dark and had that funky old oil taste, couldn't eat it. Pizza was ok. The place is very dirty, dusty, etc. There wasn't a place/wall/counter in that building that was clean. Even the employees restocking or working had filthy grimy clothes. The only good thing was their customer service. Seems as if that business has been abandoned in the sense of not putting any $ back in the store to make it appealing. Very disappointed. Spent over $50 and fed it to the chickens! So many violations in plain sight, I don't know how they got a "PASS."

North Shore General Store is a run down gas station. I never would have stop here but a person on a tour I was on said it was good. We stopped here yesterday and shared a chicken katsu. They do have specials. Yesterday was Friday, I assume that's why the specials were fish. I heard they had prime rib earlier in the week. I can't wait to see what they have today. The chicken katsu was great. Very fresh, hot and not over cooked. It comes with 2 scoops of rice and potato mac salad.
