stayed in Volcano for only 2 days and stumbled upon this market on Thursday, when we were hungry for lunch. Saw a Thai food tuck, BBQ smoker, fish truck and taco truck parked in the lot. Inside we saw venders selling candles, jewellery, honey, soaps, more food and fresh produce. For lunch, we decided to have bbq and a Thai papaya salad to go with it. bbq was tasty and they were also selling scotch eggs which I have always wanted to try , it was good. salad is authentic and fresh! it only lacked herbs. We needed fresh produce for our rental home and there was a micro green stand selling salads for $5 and beautiful mushrooms. the dressing and salad the best we have had on the island at an excellent value. highly recommend. paired mushrooms with steak and they taste better than from our grocery store! so happy to be able to visit when we were here!

We are visiting from Maryland. This Farmers Market opens really early at 6AM. We came here to get some food for breakfast. The purple color cookies were our favorite! See photos.Everyone here seemed happy and friendly. You can find all kinds of fruits, veggies, and other stuff here and you don't need to drive 40 min to Hilo for groceries.

Much of what it once had is either broken or removed now. The skatepark needs repair, the play ground has 50%+ it's items removed. There bathrooms and people are nice but the playground could really use some renovations like Adventure Park in Waimea or Kamakana in Kailua-Kona. It would be great if people in South and East Hawaii Island had a nice playground without having to drive 100 miles to the other side of the island.

The farmer's market is the same as any farmer's market in the area, absolutely the same tired vegetables by the same, tired old vendors. There may are some rather fresh vendors, but all in all a waste of gas to go all the way there. The powers that be have decided this venue should close at 10 am, if you're local that's fine, but to drive all the way up there is not worth the exhorbant price if gasoline on this island. The prices at the thrift shop for clothing are almost worth the trek up there, but there are limited sizes and no concise place to pay. Personally, I found it very disappointing and trufully a waste of time.

Lovely lovely place in Volcano. We came on New Year's Day so literally everything was closed but we came across this farmers market and wow what a treat! Everyone was so sweet, we found fresh coffee, vegan tomato soup + fresh bread and everything was great. Highly recommend!

Nice & quiet place where you can meet other members of the community. Either by random chance or arranged meet up. Associates pass out food baskets for the community in need. They also have a small skate park for the kids.

Attended the Saturday swap meet, and though it's small, I enjoyed talking story with all the friendly locals and checking thru their wares. Good local-style food. The Cooper Center is a gathering place for special community events and workshops, a weekend farmer's market, and a thrift store open throughout the week.

Fun little tiny Farmerys market early sunday morning, and a skatepark on other days, this place makes a great rest stop as you drive down the highway and has great cell reception.
