Honestly, this is the best place I’ve ever stayed at. The scenery is beautiful, the food is amazing, and the staff is super friendly. The breakfast is banana bread and papaya boats. Both are delicious and I often found myself going back for seconds, thirds, and fourths.

Quiet and isolated at the end of the road, I liked this place the most of the 4 places we stayed during our week on 3 islands.
Cut fresh plant arrangement in our room was a pleasant surprise, and I really liked walking outside on the lit walkways to get to the common room. The long branch bannisters were a nice touch.

Good bed and breakfast around volcano national park. Certainly not a five star hotel but we liked the value for the price and the bed and breakfast was delicious.

Conveniently located near Volcanoes National Park, I truly felt so relaxed in this bungalow style and forest-like B&B. The hostess was super friendly and the banana bread and papaya boat were simply fresh and delicious. I slept so comfortably both nights we stayed because the rooms are relaxing, quiet and connected to nature with all the amenities one would need. Definitely would stay here again and use their hot tub.

Smooth self check in and out process. Our room (Koa) was very spacious for my husband, child, and I. The common area is just gorgeous and welcoming! It allows for mingling with other guests. There’s also a mini fridge you can use.
My favorite part was enjoying the little trail on the property. We got to see very interesting plants and a chicken.
As far as location goes, it is very close to VNP (about 6 mins or closer) and 40 mins to Hilo.

Excellent experience with smooth check in and check out process!
I don’t know why someone is complaining about the check in. We really enjoyed the smooth self check in comparing to other big hotels that we would have to find the front desk first.
I booked through Booking.com, and I received two emails and notifications in Booking.com app from them regarding the details about the location and check in process. Everything we need to know is included. It might be a bit hard to locate the hotel (we arrived at around 9:30 pm), but Google Maps does its work and a detailed instruction of how we can drive to the hotel is also included in the messages they sent me.
The special and complimentary breakfast is adding a lot the value! My wife really likes the papaya! She ate 3 in a row (trust me, she has a very small stomach).
The jungle environment and the decoration of the hotel is very special and beautiful! The room is cozy and clean. The location is perfect if you want to visit the volcano. Definitely recommend this hotel!

We stayed here for two nights in one of the 2 corner window rooms and had a great stay. Our room was clean and comfortable. As listed on their website, there is no a/c or heat but we were comfortable with the windows open. You could hear the road a little during the day but it was very quiet at night. The proximity to the park is great and we also enjoyed the breakfast in the morning. When we arrived there was no one in the office, but there is a number posted and they responded almost immediately to my text with checkin instructions. We would definitely stay here again especially if we go back to Volcano National Park.

Looks great on the internet and probably was 20 years ago. It is definitely not a 4 Star Hotel. Our room was moldy, especially the bathroom. Housekeeping only emptied the trash and occasionally left clean towels. Floors were never cleaned and mold issues not addressed. Breakfast was the same every day. I enjoyed the papaya boat , but not every day. Banana Bread is excellent and yes I ate it every day! Definitely high priced for the current conditions. Also, arriving at night, it was very difficult to find in the dark. No lighted signs and entrance poorly marked and overgrown. We heard every flush of the toilets from upstairs and running water all night. Best thing (besides the Banana Bread) is its proximity to Hawaiian Volcanoes National Park.

Fantastic experience staying here. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great, we had papaya boats with pineapple, yogurt, banana, and almond. Also located in a convenient location that allowed us to start treking the volcanos early the following morning.

Enjoyed our night , room was clean and it was very quiet and peaceful all night and morning. Perfect breakfast, especially with very limited restaurants in the area.

The grounds of this place are beautiful! This translates to the rooms, which are set in the jungle and give very jungly vibes. The staff were so kind as well.
The setup of this place isn’t like a typical hotel; rather, it’s two houses that have been converted into individual rooms. I was in the bottom room of the annex, and it was super loud from folks above me (just ordinary stomping around). I tried to move - they were very accommodating to this - but could also hear noise coming from the common area when I moved to the main building, so I went back to my original room. Additionally, there is a lot of traffic noise in the main building. My mom was struggling with the noise as well and neither of us slept much. Beds were average to firm, and not very comfortable. When I went to take a shower the tub filled with hair (I think from the drain trap and the track holding the shower door). There was also a lot of hair on the bathroom floor. Water is catchment and was very brown in the annex building. Not safe for ingestion.
Unfortunately I wouldn’t stay again. It was just too loud and dirty.

Room was good, but we arrived to no water in bathroom, and no warning after a long day of driving. The surroundings are like a jungle, beautiful. Perfect location for visiting the volcanoes. Breakfast of 2 kinds of papaya, yogurt and homemade banana bread was outstanding.
Lelani? was the sweetest breakfast hostess. Credited her Grandmom for the banana bread.😁
