“I found what I wanted (a koa stir fry paddle) on their website and emailed them on a Saturday to get a shipping timeframe for the holidays. By Monday morning I received a response from Leigh saying they had 1 in stock and could meet my timing request. Placed my order that day and received the item (on Big Island) 1-2 days later. It's exactly what I wanted and Leigh was so nice. I was so happy to find that they did not lacquer something made for cooking. I couldn't find one like it anywhere in Hilo/Puna so being able to find a shop with an online site to check out was a big deal. I definitely recommend this place.”

“Especially with the many Native Hawaiians, living in diaspora, due to rising costs of housing and living, we have many opportunities to not just support local businesses but to support Native Hawaiian businesses. Homegrown offers a venue for supporting many Native Hawaiian businesses who many not have the start up ability to establish their own shop. Easy one stop shop for lots of different authentic Hawaiian gifts, household needs, clothes, accessories. While all of these separate businesses may have their own website, Homegrown allows you the opportunity to see these items up close and try on clothes before purchase. Since most of these businesses are not just Native Hawaiian but also offer items made in Hawaii, rather than outsourcing, some items may cost more than the average but I find that they're still reasonable.”

“So far on this date (10/28/23), this is the cleanest and most organized Ross Dress For Less that I have been to. Walked into a clean, well organized aisles of clothing, make up, household items and more. Nothing on the floor! Bright lights lit the wide aisles, where you don't feel that everything is squashed into a space. Clothes were not so tightly packed that you couldn't look at the item without pulling it out with another piece of clothing hooked on it! It was welcoming store with discounts on many items. There were many clearance items as well. A great value for the bargain shopper. There was a line and it moved quite fast with sufficient amount of cashiers open. A security guard is posted at the entrance.”

“This tree farm is amazing! It is more than 50 acres and they grow both new baby Norfolk pines and older ones here. They are planted in rows and they allowed me to walk freely to look around the farm. I was not disappointed. They have another type of Christmas tree available plus the gorgeous decorated wreaths and candy cane shaped ready-to-hang decorated Christmas item.”
